Random Thing I'm Doing · 4:26pm Mar 29th, 2017
All right. For any of you who like the Legend of Zelda, I'm taking over a project that was dropped a few years ago that ponified A Link to the Past. It was a simple, but impressive hack that replaced all of the Link sprites with Derpy ones.
I contacted the original project creator (one Botchos on Deviantart), and they said that it would be fine to continue their work, as long as they were credited.
So at this point, I have fully ponified all of the text. It took a bit longer than it should have, as I lost all my work at some point, but for now, it is finished.
What I need now is some people to play the game and look for glitches with the text. The font used in the Zelda game is not monospace, and therefore, there may be some overflow with a few of the lines, causing glitches. I have done a lot to fix this, and the errors are rather rare, but it would take me countless hours to go through every text box in the game looking for them.
So I am releasing this as the first version (well, the second, including Botchos' version) in order to have more people looking for these errors (still having fun, I hope) while I work on the next version, which will have more graphical edits (something a lot harder to do than with Link's sprites).
This doesn't really have anything to do with writing, but it's something I'm doing, and I figured some of you might be interested.
