Well.
Music was sent off to the tune of I. iTunes here I come. The Spring Nostalgic, my folksy project, will have 3 songs up on the big store in the sky pretty soon. As for me... I'll be excited when I see it up, I guess. :P
As for y'all?
Well, have you ever read Of Steam Gears and Wings, by RavensDagger? If you haven't, DO SO RIGHT NOW. It is a wonderful tale of dieselpunk things, pegasuseses, ponies that fly in airships, guns, fighter planes, and also Star Wars. (that last one is not a joke, BTW. It's patterned after it, and it's sort of a crossover).
Well, about half of the material for the Spring Nostalgic has either been influenced by OSGAW or is directly about it or is indirectly about it. Of the three on the little EP, one is the title track of the coming album-- "On SteamGear Wings" and "Appleblossom" is about 45% inspired by Raven's depiction of Applebloom (and mostly on my attempt to write a kind of song I hadn't before).
Looking back on all this music... there is so much pony in here. It is ludicrous how much pony is in here in secret and not so in secret.When the girl finishes it, the cover or the inside flap art is gonna be humaized steampunky pilot Scoots and RD. I think I counted 8 references to ponies in some form in there, not counting song names.... "blushing Pipbuck technicians" is perhaps my favorite.

I guess it's weird. This is what I've always wanted. I think I'll be more excited about it when it's up and the pain of paying for it to be available is gone. :P Oh TuneCore, the dagger you twist in my heart.
Gears and Wings has been on my read later list forever. I'll get around to it eventually, but a man can only read so many epics at once (currently pushing my way through Blood is Thicker Than Friendship. Ah... 25k word chapters. We meet again
).
Also, I'll be on the look-out for your music. If it's as good as what I've heard (that one demo track), I might just
tie you up, barricade you in my shed, and force you to write NAWWAL musicI mean, buy a track or two394316 I got about... 5 chapters into that one. I liked it, but after a long pause just didn't go back. I liked it though!
(Thinkin' bout this. I've got space for one more. We'll see lad. If I can write a song using Lucretius, I can write one about Scootaloo trying to resurrect RD.)
