03 is going to take another week, but should be arriving next weekend for sure. It took a lot more rewriting than I'd counted on, and I'm going to need the extra week to make sure I can go over it fully.
Since 01 dropped on the 1st, I'm still technically holding to my '2 a month' schedule, and since 04 is almost good to post as-is, it should give me the time I'll need to rework 05 (which will need a lot of reworking, trust me.)
I went with 2 a month because it will give me this kind of flexibility, which I need. I'm still getting used to maintaining this level of productivity, and I very much plan to keep faithful to it.
To my favorites, please let me know how you feel about the story so far. Are there things I could be doing better? Are there aspects of Eclipse Phase atmosphere and setting I'm not doing well enough or should be adding in? Is there something you'd like to see from this story in the future?
As I was lucky enough to see your earlier drafts, as well as comparing them to your now published chapters, I would say you are doing rather well so far.
As to something I would like to see in the future?
Eclipse Phase is about science, horror, and the unknown. And no small amount of espionage and action, much like Mission Impossible and Die Hard.
Location on the scale of progress/regression? Stable.
FIM is about life's lessons, overcoming and learning from mistakes, meeting new people and Befriending them, and the occasional bout of explosive landscape altering chaos.
Location on the scale of progress/regression? Progress.
Stability plus Progress equals Progress. So what we need is a entertaining gatecrashing event somewhere down the line with a theme of Indiana Jones meets Cthulhu. Action, horror, One liners and maybe some bizarre macyguyvered contraption to confuse the aliens during a chase scene with an alicorn.

It's amazing the perspective you can get on your work by forging ahead for five or six months and then looking back at what you had. I was really glad for your input in that as well, and I think I'm much happier with Killjoy's new place in the story than his role in the scene you ultimately convinced me to cut.
I definitely plan for things to be somewhat more optimistic than the standard Eclipse Phase assumption. If I keep with this long enough for the six to actually attempt to put an end to the main problems of the setting, then things will probably get worse before they get better.
If I never get that far, you can still generally count on trust and friendship getting the ponies through where other sentinels might have fallen apart.
