Head cannon, Spitfire · 2:45am Mar 13th, 2017

There is no pony by the name of Spitfire. Or at the very least, there is no pony by name of Spitfire who is currently enlisted with the Wonderbolts.

To clarify, the Spitfire we know of is a changeling. As in, her part is played by a continuously cycled team or group of changelings. This would explain how her personality seems to shift episode to episode, and even how her voice seems to follow suit. If Spitfire wasn't originally based off an actual pony -but only a hasty disguise- it would explain why there isn't a single voice for her, in essence each changeling that turns up and takes the part makes her sound like how they think she sounds like.

How did it happen? Maybe a changeling wasn't paying attention one day and got caught performing a bit of difficult flying. Having a spy in the midst of a peacetime variant of a military garrison would have to have some advantages...

Well that's not possible, because Spitfire is the Captain of the Wonderbolts, hell her mother showed up in that one episode, she was at the the first Grand Galloping Gala of the series and she shows up at several events where the Princess are at.

And... why exactly, is that not possible? We have previous confirmation that a changeling was capable of taking the appearance and place of one of the lands princesses. Granted, in the end that was a Queen variant and not a normal drone, but there was no evidence to suggest that it was not originally a normal drone that took cadences place.

That being said, one does not just show up on their first day and immediately get the position of captain, it's quite possible that the 'Spitfire' persona could have been upkept for as long as it took to rise through the ranks. Again, they didn't suspect a princess of being one, so why a captain of a partially defunct, mostly ceremonial unit that focused mostly on stunt flying?

As to her mother... Well, we have a race of beings that can take on the appearance of any pony, whose main traits gear it towards infiltration. 'Nuff said.

C'mon dusk, you're usually the one that brings a lot of good things to the table. Don't make me blow your argument out of the water on the first try! I expect better of you.

4453792 I don't know where you got the idea she was a Changeling and this site shows she is a pony and a member of the wonderbolts, Spitfire

This doesn't prove any of your points, and in fact only gives credence to one of mine as it directly references how her voice keeps changing from episode to episode!

4453808 interesting theory, so at what point in the series do you think she was switch by changellings or do you mean that they just bothered to replace one of the wonderbolts because it would have too much trouble to replace them all as hight performance flyer's.

OR Spitfire was trying to hook up with Saorin and made a deal with a ghost that alters her appearance and voice because Q5 said she was Slutty Mc Slutterson...

Season 5 episode 4 should be available on crackle at the moment. So you can check it out immediately.

...and the studios are like Durr, we have a successful show already but, no one working on it is a professional in the academic sense of the word. We need someone who graduated from Ha ha ha-bard with a PHD in frontloading like 'LARRY' so that we can determine what characters are popular in the demographic we're marketing too- He did wonders for Teen Titans when he added GO! Just watch:

I'm not a voice actor, but my voice changes from year to year as I am sure most humans voices do. The range increases or decreases depending on training, practice, time of day, level of exhaustion, or illness. It is not evidence that I am a changeling if I were to argue I sound more like Maud Pie than Pinkie Pie if my vitality has been seriously drained. Granted, I am a bit of an emotional vampire and do feel the joy of a church revival if someone tells me how wonderful I am and genuinely means it...

It is not unreasonable to assume a college graduate is qualified to be a store manager even if they applied for a job as a sales clerk. Assuming you could frame their knowledge and wisdom as inadequate for the job; and outright disregard their education, training, or experiences based on age, level of response ability, social maturity, or determined their specific talents, gifts, and skills were non transferable or non-sequitor as a way of proving they didn't have prior experience as a sales clerk. It doesn't mean they cannot manage themselves, or do the job, becasue they used a catalog instead of a computer database to look up inventory and prices.

Similarly, it is unreasonable to assume a college graduate is a thief becasue they spent 300$ of their student loans on software or hardware that was necessary and required to complete a course when textbooks for lawyers are similarly expensive. Just as calling someone a thief becasue they purchased or were given stolen property as a 'gift' doesn't mean they commissioned the act or participated in its acquisition. Furthermore, you have to do more than 'say' another person's act of following their bosses orders to complete a job caused someone personal loss, when all you have to go on is a description of procedure or a feeling that the person is dishonest. Otherwise it wastes everyone's time and it's paranoia and not a conspiracy.

I mean, you don't honestly think Justin Bieber is one of the seven hottest women on the internet, do you?

Nevermind, I guess you can use the internet to prove anything these days.

This is almost the same as that old theory about Bon Bon awhile back, just with more detail.

So all in all, I can see it.
