Dragons and riddles · 3:21am Feb 25th, 2017
In a typical situation, asking a dragon a riddle, in a situation where hostilities have not begun yet in the dragon's mind, is a great way to stall for time. Since a dragon will bend their considerable experience and intellect onto this word puzzle. However, attempting to sneak attack or engage in an act of subterfuge is a bad idea, as it's considered 'breaking the rules', and dragons as a whole ONLY continue to honor the riddle challenge BECAUSE people have honored it on their end for the most part.
Subterfuge Alex.
"Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup."
I like this idea. Sorta of like a reverse sphinx situation.
I've found that excessive flattery gets me farther with dragons. Even the good smart ones are vain and arrogant, and the less good ones usually get annoyed by riddles faster than they get tired of flattery.
