It's time for another... · 12:26am Feb 11th, 2017

Hello all!

It's been a really long time since I've posted something, even longer since I've spoken about the progress of ER251. I apologize for that, and for many of the things that are about to follow.

The story is still being continued, and I have no plans in canceling it let me assure all about that. Every new Chapter that I've written for ER251 seems to me to be the hardest to get it to work correctly. I've encountered a lot of difficulty in getting the beginning of Chapter 4 started, while, again, the other two scenes within the chapter are already completed. This is because these two scenes were suppose to take place in earlier chapters, but kept getting pushed back. I've been encountering all sorts of problems - distractions (damn you Halo and Assassin's Creed!), delays from work, writer's block, rewrites (I've got literally 6 different ways the beginning of the chapter starts), and quite frankly, times were I've just had enough of the story and didn't to touch it because I've been so damn frustrated with the thing.

I want these chapters to be perfect. Not necessarily grammatically because I've been failing A LOT in getting the chapters sound, with typos and other mistakes getting reported to me on a weekly basis. I miss a lot and really want to do better on it. But what I mean by perfect is that the story flows correctly. Events are conveyed how I want them, things are explained well and doesn't leave things out. Perhaps I am packing too much into these chapters, rushing certain events too quickly. What I'm trying to balance is the time we'll be spending with Twilight and Rarity, and everypony else in Equestria and the Crystal Empire. There is a lot of action and relationship problems with Twilight and Rarity, and in Equestria and the Crystal Empire, there are a lot of reactions, secret plans, and motives galore.

So, in short, Chapter 4 is coming soon. I made excellent progress last night, and I am satisfied with how things are progressing. Soon, Autumnschild will have the Chapter 4, editing will continue. Which brings me to my next difficult point.

I will not be updating right away. I am sick and tired of the month long gaps that are going on. You know when I started ER250, I was updating once a month, and then it just got longer and longer and longer? I want to stop that, and the best solution I can see is to shore up a stockpile of chapters and release them on a schedule. But I need time to get chapters written, and way to make sure that they get done on time. Once Chapter 6 or 7 enter's Autumnschild's care, I will post chapter 4. I am incredibly sorry about delaying the story like this, but I can see no other way to get things done. I am anticipating that I will be ready to go sometime at the end of April. Chapter 5 and 6 are already planned out, and I am satisfied with the detailed outlines. I've got a scene written for Chapter 5 already, and Chapter 6 is not far behind. Since I work night shift the next five days/nights, I will be spending three and a half hours a day, dedicated to writing MLP. After that, I am going to Arizona, which will be a boon to my writing as well.

Thank you, everyone, for your patience with me. I apologize for these constant delays, and I am working to fix it so it stops. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to be a more constant writer? I would be grateful for any advise.

That is an understandable plan.
