Chapter 140 update! · 10:41pm Feb 6th, 2017
Hello there everyone! Just an update in the world of Calm Wind.
Things were pretty hectic for me last week, real busy and little free time for myself (followed by me being lazy and unproductive on the weekend as a result since i needed it) So i actually have yet to actually start on chapter 140, however, another factor playing into the delay is that i'm STILL working on the outline.
What's taking me so long on the outline? it's probably one of the longest outlines i've ever written for a chapter, but it's not because it's going to be an oversized beast of a chapter like 129 was. There's just a TON of dialogue and a lot of fine details/actions i wanted to jot down and iron out. Usually i can plot out a few points here and there along with the dialogue and fill in along the way without much trouble, that's not the case here. On the flip side, the more detailed the outline, the faster the writing process goes, (since i end up having to do less thinking during the process itself) so it should even out.
But despite my claim that it won't be as long as 129, im not sure how many words all of this is going to take, and am prepared to break it up if need be for easier readability. my problem with 129 was i had no real good spot i felt i could break it up, i already have a spot planned to break up 140 should i decide to do so.
And there we go, thats where we currently stand, we're entering the last major sequence of the third story arc, it's gonna get wild in here!

Stupid Question: It's gonna have four arcs, or are you mad enough to plan more? (Not that I'm complaining if you are XD)
Get ready for action... now, let me think through this. Ya' know... if Spitfire spent a month planning out each plan of attack, we'd be here all day....

Four arcs, so we only have one major story arc left after the third ends (the third will be ending somewhere around chapter 150ish)
Anything taking place after arc 4 will be a new story. One this big? oh no, i've learned my lesson xD but i have lots of smaller stories with these characters planned.

I am, but i always remind myself that this was an accident (a good one) and that i need to be more careful with my planning xD
TBH if i knew it was going to be this long i probably would have made each story arc it's own story. but by the time i realized the length it was too late and my ideas were not in a place to be shifted for multiple stories
I AM indeed proud of it though, this has been great and fun

well not necessarily, the fine details come down more to specific actions and dialogue choices to go with the scenes, i just wanted to get them right since a lot of stuff goes on in this chapter (straight forward stuff, but lots of stuff in general)
