shhhhhhhhhhhh just breaking the site again don't mind me

very, very, very experimental fic continues its slow progress as the deadline for bicyclette's sci-fi contest draws near. these chapters are about on-par with what if in terms of length, but oh boy have they been an interesting experience to write.

hey hey btw i've got a (couple of) public minecraft server(s)!

yeah so anyway here is my webbed site lol. there's an MC Classic server for building whatever, and an MC Beta 1.7.3 server for playing survival. I might eventually also put up a modern vanilla server as well, though given how I'm hosting a bunch of servers already for friends and a couple of discord servers, idk if the little slab of a PC I'm using to host 'em all would be able to manage lol.

summer break is almost here :V

basically got one week left lol. got an experimental fic in the works that's a sort-of direct sequel picking off right where Splintershard ended. no prior reading is necessary.

MAN it's been a while since I've toyed with writing styles.

Should I start a daily blog about random facts? · 1:44am Feb 2nd, 2017

And if so, random fact: For a while pencils didn't come with erasers because teachers thought that they'd encourage mistakes.

Comments ( 16 )

I think that would be neat. You should go for it. :)

I actually knew that one! :pinkiehappy:

Also random fact: Before erasers were invented, writers (and artists) used breadcrumbs to erase mistakes.

4406261 Play-doh was originally wallpaper cleaner :moustache:

4406267

I did not know that one.

But yeah, you should totally go for it.

4406271 Watch out for the next one tomorrow then! :pinkiehappy:

Bonus just because bonus: I actually used to be an anti-brony before gen 4 came out. :facehoof:

4406281

Don't worry, I had no idea it even existed before gen 4. :rainbowlaugh:
Always thought the ponies were standalone marketed toys.
Which in retrospect, is a pretty weird thing to assume. :rainbowhuh:

4406285 I actually used to openly mock MLP as a whole up until middle school. Specifically with the typical remixed troll song about "My little pony, skinny and bony..."

I feel stupid now.

4406290

It doesn't help that the marketed audience was limited in Gens 2 and 3. And unluckily I wasn't born in the right time period for Gen 1. I can still go back and watch Gen 1. I'm still not sure how I'd feel about Gen 2 or 3 yet.

4406291 I still kinda make fun of gen 1, but only in the form of my crazy fanfic. Gen 2/2.5/3 will be next up once Twilight screws up Gen 1 past the point of no return. :derpytongue2:

4406292

The cool thing about Gen 1 was that it was before it was marketed towards little girls. It had some of the essence of adventure that we find in gen 4. I actually found some of the villains in gen 1 pretty interesting. :pinkiehappy:

I'd love to see a daily blog about random facts... but since I'm bored here's three

1)Studies in space have shown that birds cannot survive in weightless environments since they require gravity in order to swallow food.

2)In 1858, Hyman Lipman received the patent for the first integrated pencil/eraser writing utensil— simply by combining two pre-existing products. Fortunately for Lipman, the Feds were late in figuring this out, and by the time they decided to revoke his patent, the crafty inventor had, according to most sources, already sold the rights for $100,000.

3)Australia was actually given its name before it was even discovered by Europeans. Rumors of Terra Australis ("land to the south") persisted for centuries until the Dutch confirmed its existence in 1616.

oh and if you don't do this idea, I will
