What's up with the Short Stories Lately? · 11:22pm Jan 28th, 2017

I don't know if any of you were wondering this, but here, let me explain why.

So recently I have been doing a lot of 'short(er)' stories (although the average story is still a novelette length).

And the reason for that is because,

One: I don't want to take all this time and effort and energy into a story and then have people complain that it seems rushed, I can handle hate and criticism, BUT I WILL NOT HANDLE whiners and complainers, so just **** off, okay?

Two: I want detail, but I want to try to shorten it to be precise and exact. Many of you say that you want more detail because it feels rushed, and well sometimes it is, in fact mostly it is because my style is to write very fast and get it out to you, and then later I WILL GO BACK and edit if given the time to do so.

Three: I don't know if I want to do anything very long anymore, even for adventure and slice of life stories.

Take The Changeling Queen and also The Tale of Winter Frost, both could have been Novelette or Novella length just like my first stories, or even maybe a novel! (Just like my Novellas too.)

But they aren't because of hate, and editing, and time, and lack of money, and lack of a much better new home...

(The problem list goes on for quite some time)

Four: People seem to enjoy my shorter stories more. My top rated story (one that I just wrote randomly for no reason) is a short one and no other story comes close to it at all.

Anyhow, that's all for now, peace out.
