Another Food for Thought Question...

As I continue on my study of digital animation, there comes the issue of the future. One of the prime examples of which is money. Even with a portfolio in hand, there is always the chance someone else will be better suited as all other professions are.

Since I have been seeing some of us, including my followers, have a Patreon account, the idea is starting to buzz in my head, but there comes the matter of timing.

So I ask of those who do: would it be wise to start a Patreon when

A) while I'm still counted as a dependant and/or in college?

B) when I'm a dependent and/or out of college?

I may ask this to my peers and mentors in school as well; after all, it's better to have several opinions to weigh out the decision.
