VHS Opening/Closing: M*A*S*H (11/77, Magnetic) · 11:42am Jan 21st, 2017

Tape distributor: Magnetic Video [by arrangement with 20th Century-Fox]
Original or reprint?: Original
Release date: November 1977
Catalog number: 1038
Date of printing: None [end label]

"Well, I just got this fine segment of Aztec gold while thrifting [in April 2015], and it's safe to say that this is no reprint. One of the first films (technically 38th of the 50 launch titles) released by Magnetic is now my new "Million-Dollar Tape" (a.k.a. the rarest tape I've ever owned). It also, quite undoubtedly, has the single worst video transfer in history, from a darkened 16mm print (amazing, isn't it?)" - Jordan Rios

CONTENTS:
1. Magnetic Video Corporation logo [20th Century-Fox variant]
2. 1953 20th Century Fox logo (with 1935 fanfare)
3. Film (starting with the song "Suicide is Painless" and ending with a reading of the cast list)
4. MPAA rating bumper [R] (you'll notice it pan for a second to reveal the rating itself)

And then a cut occurs, while cross-fading to the same white screen that started the tape.
