A Smash Hit · 4:22am Jan 16th, 2017
Hey there. Welcome back. I have some news....
Some of you may have noticed that I have been inactive for the past week and a half.
I got hit by a car..... Fun times.
I was walking to Safeway. (A southern grocery store.) When I got to the intersection that links up with the Safeway parking lot, I started my way across the crosswalk after a brief wait. When I got just about to the end of the crosswalk, I looked towards Safeway, little did I know a woman in a sedan was also looking in a similar direction, speeding around the right hand corner that I was currently occupying. She was going about 25-30 MPH. Needless to say, I got messed up. My right arm is busted, I got a cracked rib, and a slight concussion.
I want to apologize to all of the members of The Shipshelf. (I have not been doing my job recently.) But its hard to take notes and such when your dominant arm is broken. Anyways. I hope you all have a wonderful night, and a better read. Till next time. -Mirth
Oh, my. Sorry to hear that. I hope you're doing well.
But hey, any crash you can walk away from is a good one, right?

4384474 Thanks. After it happened the women jumped out of her car and started talking to me. When I finally got my senses back I discovered she was in fact panicking about me suing her. I just looked at her and said: "Mam, I'm not going to do any such thing. But I do have one question... Did my cheese cake make it?! Tell me it did!" (I was bringing it to a friends house, I turned back to Safeway when I realized I forgot the strawberries.) It didn't make it. NO ONE MESSES WITH MY CHEESE CAKE!!! But its ok. There are more cakes in the sea.

There are? What kind of monster threw all those cakes in the sea? What a waste!
4384492 Hahaha. Metaphorically speaking. It was a New York style to.....
Wow, that's horrible. I'm sorry to hear this happened to you.
You're really one hell of a guy, you know. Plenty of people would've freaked out even without the broken arm. I commend your ability to look past the accident and maintain such a positive outlook in spite of it. Hope you're recovery is as quick and problem free as possible.
4384764 Thank you, I appreciate that. The recovery should be fast besides the arm, I am still able to go to work on some local projects here in CO springs, so its all good. (It is nice to get a break from traveling anyways.) And I'm all jacked up on pain pills. (Forgive any typing errors, I am honestly kinda zuted. )
As far as not getting angry goes, its just who I am. I learned early in life that tolerance, balance, and forgiveness are useful tools in these kinds of situations. (Well... in dealing with anyone really.) I just don't have time to be negative. It never helps.
