Okay, what I am about to write may shock many here.
I...am a gamer.
No, really. I'm a 50 year old gaming geek. If it wasn't the original pen and paper Dungeons and Dragons, it was the handheld Merlin toy. My first video game system was a brand new Atari 2600. I bought it from Zellers for $250. Every since then, gaming has been a part of me, and I, a part of it. Up through Colecovision, then the NES and PS1. Finally to PC.
I mention this because this past week I've been pulled back into the digital realms again. My gaming clan, Blackpines Gaming, has gotten into some Life is Feudal. It's a slow game, but an engrossing one. Particularly if you like medieval things. It's been a nice change of pace from World of Tanks/Warships/Warcraft, Armored Warfare, 7 Days or Star Citizen. But going crazy gaming again DOES tend to cut into my writing time. Which is my writing pace has slowed down a bit. It will pick back up, I promise. The second chapter of Journey is nearly done and should be out in the next 24 - 48 hours.
After that I have an idea for a humorous Flurry Heart story. After which it will be time for another Queen Chrysalis, Relationship Counselor chapter.
So, yes, if you see any members of Blackpines out there in games. Say hi, and tell them Mare in the Moon pointed them out to you. :) Yes, my name in most of those games is "Mare in the Moon", because everyone always jumps on "Nightmare Moon" first.
I look forward to playing Star Citizen when it comes out in 2035.
