I've finally managed to finish FS/F nearly three years after it originally was published, spent a few days trying to find the damn thing on here, don't know how I managed to get lucky with it.
Anyways, after I found it, I spent a lot of my time re-reading all the previous chapters for a few days. Last night I finally finished it. And I gotta say, I really loved the ending to it. How everything was wrapped up once and for all. I don't really feel the need for a sequel to tie up loose ends.
I'm not saying the ending was 100% perfect, there are a lot of things I disliked about the last few chapters of the story, mainly no backstory for many of the other characters. Namely, Spike. I know there are probably a few different side-stories to FS/F that have Spike, but I'm not sure if any have integrated themselves into it like The Last Crusade and the other stories did. I sorta want to know what Spike's story is in all of that. How he turned into a dragon, how he managed to find his way to Iowa, if anything crazy happened on his way there or during the few weeks after his transformation. I've yet to really see a side-story that gives me all of that.
Overall though, I'd buy FS/F if there was ever a printed version of it. Hell, I'd print it myself if I could. In other news, I've finished up catching up on many of my other stories I hadn't read in the 3 years I was gone for, so now I'll start working on a Spike shipping I've been thinking about a lot lately, might take a while to get the first chapter out though. It's gonna be a very rare Spike shipping. One that I've only seen done twice, kinda. Stories were never finished sadly.
