I've just started writing the first chapter for a collection of one-shots centered around the royal family and their relationships with each other. I'll post it either today, or tomorrow if I actually get it done. It is the first time that I've written something in a long while, so any feedback is appreciated once I do publish it. The title of the story is: Familial Bonds.

Who can be considered in the Royal family anyway?? I can assume that Celestia and Luna are in it, but who else?

Oh....so there could be a bit of Momlestia and Auntie Luna in there, as well as potentially a little Spilight?? It sounds interesting to see how a family of alicorns, unicorns and a dragon go about their business as a family...of sorts. Bit of slice of life, eh?
If that's the case, there's a pretty good idea of Spike and Twilight wanting to help Blueblood get his special somepony and show others that Blueblood's not a complete asshole or tool...For some reason, I could really see Spike and Blueblood as good friends--practically cousins...and brothers in all but blood.

I don't think I'm gonna incorporate Spilight (as a shipping) into the story. In this sort of Alt. Universe, Celestia adopted and raised Spike until he became Twilight's assistant. So definitely there would be Momlestia, to both Spike and Twilight. I could really see Bluebood being a nicer cousin after they get to know him. Might make a chapter based off that.

Yeah, that was actually a plan for a later chapter. I forgot to mention not all of these will take place at the same moment in time. The first chapter will be a Spike/Celestia chapter. The second will be Cadence/Filly Twi chapter (a.k.a. First Foalsitting Experience)
