    Potentially The End

Due to the suddenly VERY uncertain landscape that TTRPGs have been dropped into thanks to Wizards of The Coast and Hasbro, I am now faced with a problem.

For those of you who don't really pay attention to the world of Dungeons and Dragons, something of a war has begun. It is the fans vs. D&D owner and creator, Wizards of the Coast and, by proxy, Hasbro.

    The cause for the war?

    To the Surface!

Alright, I've been gone a long while. For the most part anyways. COVID... did not do me or mine any favors. Life got hard after it came in, and now I'm on my own.

    WWII

I have received a number of comments since the posting of Chapter 5 of Tartarus Forged. Most of those comments were respectful in asking why I would reference the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki like I did, and I thank you for that tact, but some of you... were not.

    It Started With An Idea

This is something that I've had running around my head for the last month or so. It's not something overly complicated, but about half-way through writing down this synopsis, I realized this had more potential than as just a fan-fic story. Alter a few key facts, such as ponies being involved... and I may have something I could genuinely turn into a book to one day be published.

Take a seat, ladies and gentleman, and let your minds be blown. · 6:13am Dec 7th, 2016

This is what I'm talking about! This is what I struggle to portray when I talk about magic!

I see magic, in any universe or continuity, as an equal measure of art and science. When you conjure something, you need to initialize the conditions that would allow for whatever your conjure to exist. For a plain sword, you would need to consider the metal type, the forging process, and even the history of the blade. You would need to create every single atom from scratch, a process that require ridiculous amounts of power just for one atom, and arrange them PERFECTLY, nevermind the fact that we're talking about breaking the laws of physics by creating matter.

And those of you who know me well know that the concept of perfection pisses me off.

That Ponies can do all this on instinct alone is both terrifying and religion-inducing, and would make you cry yourself to sleep when you consider the idea of a human, a species of which that is notorious for letting scientific development outstrip cultural development, having magic. And then there's the fact that this only conjuration. What about destruction? Illusion? Evocation? Transmogrification? Summoning?

Motherbucking Space-Time manipulation?!

This is why I laugh when people ask why I like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The fanbase creates mind-breaking crap like this on a daily basis.

Thank you, Bucking Nonsense, for making this wonderful masterpiece.
