    Moved!

I'm writing this from my new place, about 20 minutes away from my old place. This one is a condo, with about 500 more square feet, an extra half bath (for 2.5 total), a tankless water heater, and 2 count 'em 2 long flights of stairs - one up from the underground parking and one from the 1st floor to the 2nd. I haven't counted the stairs yet but it definitely works as cardio. I feel bad for my

    A good story

Quoted out loud to the room as I put my dinner dishes in the sink: "I just read a good story. Like all good stories, it was too short."

It was this one. As usual I'm ages and ages late to the party.

    The end of Covid?

My crystal ball is just as bad as everyone else's. Maybe even worse.
It feels like maybe we won't need to panic anymore. That would be nice. Maybe it's just the spring in the air.

If this ISN'T the end of Covid then I have a request.
Can it pretty please morph into something like turbo Ebola that kills you within 24 hours?
    The lingering is no fun.

    Dreams

I've become lucky enough over the last several years to have a re-occurring theme in my dreams. Not every night - I don't even remember my dreams every night, and then not 100% of the time when I do remember them.

Mostly, it's the old saw of flying, with a notable twist - I'm flying via telekinesis. Very pointedly telekinesis - no wings, no tech (which seems weird if you know me much).

So. Reading reading reading. This fandom seems chalk full of talented writers. I don't know how many nights I've stayed up later than I should because I just have to finish that next chapter. This is something I usually pay for the privilege of folks. And out of the many stories I've read, only once have I found one just too awful to finish. That's a great track record. My favorites list is slowly growing, and my read later list could comfortably be compared to a whale. I'm at 38 stories atm.

I've always been an avid reader. I got 3/$1 comics when I was little because it was cheap and it would improve my reading. I never really stopped :) The other day I picked up a 350 page novel as a snack. I don't know what it is, but I feel compelled to read. When I'm at work I come to the site but don't log in so I don't get mature fics. We went out for the day and wandered around town.... but all that time I was waiting to come back and finish the story I had started before we left. I haven't even been playing video games *because I'm so busy reading here*. Maybe I need help, but I'll never get it. :P

At the moment I'm really enjoying Salvation (unabridged) by Cold in Gardez. He's done a great job. Luna Rising by AstonMartinLover has also been fun. Finding Sweety by .Pinkimena has also been fun. I've noticed I enjoy stories that have the CCC as grown Mares. The Scootaloo Dash Trillogy by Primalcorn1 pulled off very similar feelings to what Cold in Gardez did - that slice of life that could be real life for all the pain and sorrow, but still surviving (and maybe even thriving). I'd heartily recommend anyone read any of the above. I tend to find long stories. You're going to be busy for a while with those.
