I'm writing this from my new place, about 20 minutes away from my old place. This one is a condo, with about 500 more square feet, an extra half bath (for 2.5 total), a tankless water heater, and 2 count 'em 2 long flights of stairs - one up from the underground parking and one from the 1st floor to the 2nd. I haven't counted the stairs yet but it definitely works as cardio. I feel bad for my

    A good story

Quoted out loud to the room as I put my dinner dishes in the sink: "I just read a good story. Like all good stories, it was too short."

It was this one. As usual I'm ages and ages late to the party.

    The end of Covid?

My crystal ball is just as bad as everyone else's. Maybe even worse.
It feels like maybe we won't need to panic anymore. That would be nice. Maybe it's just the spring in the air.

If this ISN'T the end of Covid then I have a request.
Can it pretty please morph into something like turbo Ebola that kills you within 24 hours?
    The lingering is no fun.

    Dreams

I've become lucky enough over the last several years to have a re-occurring theme in my dreams. Not every night - I don't even remember my dreams every night, and then not 100% of the time when I do remember them.

Mostly, it's the old saw of flying, with a notable twist - I'm flying via telekinesis. Very pointedly telekinesis - no wings, no tech (which seems weird if you know me much).

I feel bad for my poor partner. She's mobility impaired and walks with a cane, and we just signed a 30 year mortgage on a place that's not friendly to her. We've both made the comment a few times that at the very least it will be good PT for her.

As far as writing goes.... I don't know how people do so much so fast. I'm in awe of damn near everyone on the site. I know financial need is a thing for a lot of them, but even if I tried that I'm not sure it would help me any. Oh yeah, and the scribbles I had in progress died when I had to reformat my drive about a month ago. That's ok. At this point a blank sheet of paper can't hurt me anymore than my zero inertia.

The Luna fic is on the backburner. Every time I pick up the idea in my head things change. I think I've got a good start at least, and I've had the overall arc for a while now.

I've also started (and since lost, and plan to re-start) a one shot of newly ascended book horse having an introductory talk with Death. It was inspired by a 5 minute chunk of Meet Joe Black, which I'm tempted to actually re-watch. In all likely hood that fic will be the next thing I finish because I can clearly see the start and the middle, and it was never intended to be the big giant thing the Luna fic was.

The only thing in my way now is having to unpack every damn thing I still own, and a million things I don't. My partner has HUGE Manga & Anime collections.

We're too old for this (both 40+ fyi).
