    NOT DEAD

What a cheery title! Happy holidays! It's true, though: I'm not dead. Only my inspiration is. I mourn it. Deeply. I really want to write things again, but my attempts over the past five months have been utterly futile. Some of you might understand the feeling of staring at a blinking cursor with no idea of what to type – I seriously hope you don't – but it's all too often a reality. To

    Brazing Bad

    Hey all.

Major apologies for the suspense. I've been trying to get my life on track again, and despite my gradual reclamation of health, things have been moving slowly, and trouble has not hesitated to bathe me in its ugly presence. At least I can watch Breaking Bad on my Xbox's Netflix. Absolutely amazing series, just saying. More after the break.

[EE:TI] Segmented Re-release · 9:07pm Sep 20th, 2012

Under advisement from readers and fellow authors alike, I have decided that it would be best for Equestrian Elite: Tartarus Infernum to be released in segments (chapter-by-chapter) instead of all at once. This means I will be removing all but Chapters 1 and 2, and steadily re-releasing them over time.

For any of my readers that are interrupted by this change, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Having to wait for days on end for the next chapter of a story bothers me greatly, as I am an avid reader myself and am no stranger to the infuriating anticipation of waiting for the next chapter.

However, it is becoming clear that if I do not go through with this, EE:TI will be enjoyed by only a fraction of those who would possibly enjoy it.

Perhaps, one could think of it this way: If you are truly enjoying EE:TI, would you not want others to be able to enjoy it as well? That is my motivation behind this move--it gets the story more viewers with each chapter update, allowing more to discover it. The last thing I want to do is appear selfish, because I make a conscious effort not to be, but it is inevitable that this will make me appear as such. For that, I am truly sorry.

On a happier note, I will soon be releasing information about the sequel to Equestrian Elite: Tartarus Infernum, and the side series of prequels to the story, which are going to be the Chronicles of the Elite.

I hope you get more views. :yay:

372068 Thanks! I can't stress enough--I'm not doing it for myself, per se, I'm doing this for my future readers. You probably could tell that already, but I'm saying it again to make myself feel better, haha.

Hopefully, someday, these future readers will thank me!

372071 That's probably asking for a bit much... Well, they'll probably thank you for the story, or hopefully offer some praise at the very least. In any case, I finished the entire thing in one go, so this change doesn't effect me much. :moustache:

372073 "I finished the entire thing in one go"
Like a boss, sir, like a boss. I can't even read my own story in an entire go. Mostly because I constantly feel the need to re-evaluate it, but even when I'm reading other novels of similar length I find it difficult to read them all at once. I like reading at my own (slightly varying) pace, and I'm sure most other readers do as well, which is why I still feel bad about doing this, but it seems to be a necessity.

That's what I meant, too, that they would thank me for the story itself--I certainly wouldn't thank me for releasing it in segments :unsuresweetie:

Aw I'm less boss than Dream Catcher. I only made it through chapter 15 on the first go. Only because I had to stop to go to work though. Don't think of it as selfishness. Think of it as bringing the joy of the written word to the masses. They will thank you in the long run. If they don't just remind them it's for their own good. :pinkiehappy:

372090 That's my sentiment exactly; I'm focusing on the long run here instead of the short-term. And hey, I'm just glad you didn't skip work to read my story, 'cause then I'd really feel bad, haha :rainbowlaugh:

372098 Eh... I got backed up on Background Pony once, and I read my entire backlog of that in one go - 5 or so chapters, or over 100k words - mind you, this was a few hours before school.
As far as backlogs are concerned, mine's still huge. You dirty, stinkin' authors keep releasing content faster than I can get through it. :pinkiecrazy:

Eh, really bad with that undeniable sense of accomplishment that something you wrote made someone cry AND skip work! :yay:

Aww man. I have the worst timing. I just finished chapter 18 and found I couldn't move on to the next chapter. Really depressing spot to be stuck at.:raritydespair: I tried to read this all in one go yesterday, but I'm an awfully slow reader and just couldn't do it. Had to stop once I realized it was 5am.:applejackconfused:

I don't blame you though, this story definitely deserves more readers. I was lucky to have noticed it on the front page when you first posted it. Anyway, I'm gonna go look for something to read to take my mind off this now, otherwise I'm gonna go insane.:twilightsheepish:

372280 Oh man! That has literally got to be the worst cliffhanger in my entire story. I am so sorry!

I won't spoil anything but as you know, the story still has more to go--it doesn't end there!
