Progress!
I've completely rewritten chapter twelve, and I think it's a massive improvement over its previous form. It took me a ridiculously long time to finish it, and when I finally did, I realized something important: battle scenes are my Achilles' heel. It's stupidly difficult to find the proper verbiage, even when I have a seemingly perfect visualization of how the battle progresses. In comparison, I'm blazing my way through chapter thirteen in one fifteenth of the time it took me to do its predecessor, despite it being ~2,000 words longer. The simple fact that it isn't a battle scene makes it that much easier.
On the bright side, the satisfaction I get when finishing such epic encounters is even more indescribable. Case in point:

The ground trembled as Lagos towered over the crest of a hill. Though he stood at least fifteen meters tall, half as wide and twice as long, his titanic proportions were only the forefront of his terrorizing presence. There was no doubt among the Elite that Lagos was a beast of war; a hardened veteran of countless battles.
The pic's a work in progress, mostly because I'm not sure if I want to stick with the realistic 3D look or try to make it stylized like the show.
In other news, I'm doing much better with the between-surgery recovery. Pain's at an all-time low and I'm a lot more mobile than I was last month. My final procedure is scheduled for June 7th, and after I recover from that, I'm theoretically 'out of the woods' after wasting more than a year of my life battling this autoimmune affliction.
Continuing my trend from last month, below is a table of what's left to finish for the new version of TI:
Tartarus Infernum
