A good story displays a moral, the best ones attach you to the characters who display them.

New Chapter Out, and New Cover!

Background shamelessly stolen from an actual SoT book
I'd recommend giving that one a read!

    Featured?!

Y'know for a moment there I was scared I'd lost my touch when it came to writing after I took those years on hiatus... this is a really encouraging sign.

Thank you all so much for showing me I've still got it! It's reassuring, and more than a little flattering. Don't think I've really processed it yet, since I basically just woke up.

    Good to be Back

I won't promise that I'll be able to return to my old projects immediately, or even at all. But I did mean it when I said I was coming back! I've spent too long not doing anything about my passion for writing, and that needs to change. :twilightblush:

So, in I come with a brand new story to tell! Please, come and tell me what you think of the beginning to the Coves of Courage!

    The Old Bones Creak

The pegasus' eyes fluttered open blearily. How long had it been since they closed? Weeks? Months? His coat felt uneven and unkempt, his mane was longer than he remembered, and thick with tangles he could feel without even moving yet. When his eyes adjusted to the low light around him, the dusk seeping in through a boarded up window; everything he had known was coated in moss and lichen. Vines

What do YOU Think? · 8:33am Oct 19th, 2016

After I finish my Halloween story, and Rarity, POW, I'll be working on the nineteenth chapter of my longest fic thus far: When Darkness Breaks.

But, as far as One-Shots, I still haven't decided where I should go: that's why, right now, I'm asking for feedback.

This won't be the same as a vote, or poll: because the amount of feedback for one decision or another won't be the driving force here. It'll still be a big factor, but I'm looking more for quality of feedback: that stuff that'll make me think about and analyze what I should try.

So, without further ado, here are the choices:

#1: The Owl and the Phoenix.
I've written a philosophical short story before for my Facebook page, and got some really good feedback on it. However, I've never gone full-scale parable/Asop's Fables before. This tale would be my first attempt at trying to explain something really harsh, yet true through a story: presented as an old Equestrian fable told to the CMC, as they have recently suffered from something similar, and don't understand why.

#2: The Love of a Mare (or) A Mother's Sacrifices.
For those of you who have read my Highly-Praised Noir: There's a Crayon in my Soup, you'll probably remember a very influential mare. This one-shot will present her side of the story: remaining entirely in the same Noir style, and sadder tone. And will even delve deeper into some crucial parts of the first story you may not have noticed on the first read.

#3: To Love a King. (Possible spoiler for season Finale in title, explanation below.)
Now, we come to the possible sequel to another one of my works: Friendly Fire. This one will take place after the finale, in the same city as the previous fic. In case some of you haven't seen the finale, I won't give any spoilers: but seeing the finale will be crucial to understand the emotions at work in this particular fic.

Please, send in your thoughts. I look forward to checking in here frequently. I might not reply to any comments on this Blog for a while, but that will only be because I want to get all the feedback in my head before I make any decisions or replies.

Until Next Time, God Bless You!
And Thank You for Your Feedback!

Ooh, #3 sounds pretty cool! :pinkiehappy:

4262646 Agreed! I also like choice 1 ^D^

The first one has a neat title, The third one also sounds cool, if it continues from Friendly Fire.

I can't choose between Number 1 or 2...
