Hello my faithful watchers! Long time no see, I know . . . 
So, yeah, after much waiting and baited breath, Metamorphosis was finally reviewed by Rinnaul and Asilin of The Pleasant Commentator and Review Group!
Seriously, the story was waiting in their "Claimed" box for nearly a year. It took me PM'ing the commentator who claimed it originally to finally get a review at all.
Here's what they had to say:
Quick Recommendation: While there are some very good ideas here, and it's at least worth a chance from fans of Guyver, changelings, or the Hooves family; the slow pacing, lack of focus, and purple prose might deter anyone else.
Verdict
Though it's impossible to ignore the story's glacial pace, overly broad focus, purple prose, and excessive explanations and description, there are some good ideas here, many of which I'd like to see play out, and the technical aspects of the writing are up to speed. All in all, we'll call it:
Enjoyable.

I'm . . . not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I'm grateful to both Rinnual and Asilin for taking the time to review Metamorphosis, and to do it so thoroughly to boot. I'm also glad that they chose to deem the story "Enjoyable" (though apparently that rating was predicated on their being drunk beforehand 
). I find no fault with their criticisms, and appreciate their feedback on areas where both the story and my writing could be improved . . .
On the other hand though, I couldn't help but feel that both my story and I were being . . . mocked, rather mercilessly, by the both of them throughout their review. Perhaps I'm being overly sensitive, and they were just harmlessly poking fun in order to make for an enjoyable commentary, but . . . that's not how it felt. Not to me. And particularly not for a purportedly "Pleasant" Commentator and Review Group.
What do you all think? Am I wrong and too blinded by my own butthurt from this review? Are any of you feel equally confused by the positive rating my story received after the seemingly negative tone of the review itself? Please help me to gain some perspective, because I'm still feeling kinda dizzy here.
Maybe I'll just . . . go cry in the corner, over there.

I like the story, and personally, I think the pacing is fine, The writing matches the flow of the anime and comics.

Well, the important thing is that your back, so don't let this get in the way of continuing the story, because it's one of the best I have seen on this site.
