There have been many words that have been thrown around as ways of describing Thunderbolt Sentinel, the pegasus who left the Canterlot Guards for a fantastic job as an entertainer. One, accurately enough, is ''a charismatic talent who brilliantly moves the song as it goes on''. Another is, ''an amazingly beautiful and gifted young pony''. Perhaps, even more, Pinkie Pie introduced him as THE LITTLE YELLOW GUY WHO SINGS. We were so amused by that particular description of him that we used that as the title of this latest journey for him on RCA Victor.
Briskly accompanied by the great Hollywood stylings of Joe Reisman and the crisp Nashville assistance from Chet Atkins, Thunderbolt carries himself through incredible tunes; film themes such as ''Dear Heart'' and ''Call Me Irresponsible'' are given his precise, clear vocal treatment; he does even more superbly with other tunes, from as old as ''When My Sugar Walks Down The Street'' to as current as Bert Kaempfert's ''Red Roses for a Blue Lady'', he sings like a true showman and a classy one at it.
THE LITTLE YELLOW GUY WHO SINGS is Thunderbolt Sentinel. And the way in which he sings is, put brilliantly, beautiful.
