Season 6 Finale Plot Holes, But All in Spoiler Text Because I'm Not a Dick · 4:59pm Oct 7th, 2016
Have a giant Lyra. My gripes are behind the break.
-Equestria apparently has taken no countermeasures to deter a clearly hostile nation that has invaded them once before, despite likely knowing their base of operations, and that they will try to attack again if left unchecked. Real smart, Tia and Lulu.
-Canterlot and the Crystal Empire apparently have no anti-changeling protocols in place, despite being invaded once before, and/or their leaders being taken captive in the past. Gee-fucking-gee.
-Celestia and Luna were taken captive. Who the fuck is raising the sun and moon?
-If Chrysalis' throne negates all magic, how exactly did Luna visit Starlight's dream?
-Thorax's arrival should NOT have made Shining and Cadance more lax about a changeling attack, because one of the first things he said to Spike upon their meeting was that he was the only good one. If he didn't convey this information to Shining and Cadance as well, he's an idiot.
-This isn't really a plot hole, but it annoyed me nonetheless. Chrysalis is portrayed your typical Disney-esque villain. Someone comes up to her saying they've found a solution to the NUMBER ONE problem her entire race faces, and she completely disregards it. If she had any brains at all, she'd subdue Starlight, interrogate her, then see if there was any merit to what Thorax had discovered.
Eh, I still liked it.
- Yeah... They seem to have no countermeasures whatsoever
- Yeah, they should probably get on that with everything and not just a changeling invasion.
- It didn't seem like much time had passed, so I can let that slide. But still, I guess most of the guards could of been replaced with changelings or something but it seems a bit unlikely they would get kidnapped that easily. But I will let that point slide too because why not.
- Well, the magic/science of her dream seeing is really underdeveloped. I would assume they are implying that it's not magic and she does that naturally for that to work, but that kinda raises more questions, but ehhhhh.
- Yeah... Though it isn't said that they were lax about an invasion. They got Celestia and Luna so it makes sense they got Cadence.
- I would also add, the Queen knew who Starlight was, but none of the changelings impersonating anyone knew who she was. I get she thought Starlight was unimportant, which is a slight plot-hole itself, but it would make a lot of sense for her to tell the mane 6 impersonators about Starlight.

I did too, don't get me wrong. It's just that all the hand-waving irked me.
My biggest complaint about this episode:
Damn it, I need to redesign my OC now.

Or, you got, screw it, I'll have my own canon! With Blackjack and hookers!

I mean, my OC's been established to live in an alternate universe where Equestria is at war with Funtasia (the setting of another popular horse-based fantasy franchise "Filly"), so I guess he can be exempted from the mass Changeling-Rainbow-Shift. But I still want to redesign him for fun.
I missed a spoiler text.
