)[SEASON FINALE SPOILERS] and Update *PLEASE READ UP TO BREAK FOR NON SPOILERS* · 10:43am Oct 7th, 2016
So yes this will be a post about the leaked season finale of S6 and my thoughts on it. If you have not seen it and do not wish to have it spoiled until you see it, please only read the section above the break. There will also be a line and a red spoiler warning below to know where to stop.
First off, and update on everything. It's the time of year where college is in full swing, and so is every conceivable medical issue is going on with me. If i'm not buried under mountains of homework, i'm curled up in bed nursing everything from stomach bugs to a bruised rib (I bruised it falling out of bed. Yes you can laugh if you wish, but concrete floors hurt!). It's been a very stressful month, and during this time I am under both academic and financial aid probation. For those of you who don't know what those mean, I will quickly explain:
Academic Probation - If I do not achieve a C average (2.0 GPA) or higher by the end of the semester, I am put on a 1 year leave before I can return to school in the state of South Dakota
Financial Aid Probation - If I do not achieve a C average (2.0 GPA) or higher by the end of the semester and have not completed 67% of my attempted credit hours, I lose my right to federal financial aid until I am in good standing (paid off or back above 2.0 GPA/67% Credit Hours)
So basically I am working myself to the bone to try and salvage my year and keep myself from being kicked out of college and practically unable to return. So there are more than likely going to be few, if any, updates until around mid to late December.
HOWEVER: I will still have ONE-SHOT commission story slots open for anyone who is interested. This is a way I can support myself in college without having to hold down a major job that would put me working 20+ hours a week and destroying all of my study time. If you would like to submit an idea to me for it, send me a PM with the idea and I may ask for more information. The basic rules I have for commissions should be up on my front page along with pricing (negotiable), just NO CLOP. Can't write it for the life of me.
I know a lot of you probably don't look at my page anymore because of my lack of updates, and i want to apologize to anyone who is upset at me for this or just wants me to continue with "dead" stories, because none of mine are dead. My free time and sanity are.

So season 6 finale.
Goddamn I didn't think they could get any better, but they totally proved me wrong. It's easily slipped into my favorite finale slot (In order: 6,5,2,4,1,3)
Having an episode, especially a finale basically without the Mane 6, but with our ragtag team of Starlight, Trixie, Discord and Thorax. Just fucking wow that was refreshing to see. Especially Trixie getting some spotlight *squeals*.
As for the story, it was great. Equestria replaced with Changelings, Chrysalis stepping her shit up. What isn't to love there. The fact that she has managed to stay perfectly evil throughout the series makes me love her. She's not one that may have some good in her, or possibly did at one point (despite my head cannon that she is actually the original crystal princess). She is pure, unadulterated, vengeful evil and I fucking love that.
The ending with the changelings changing into what I almost want to call flutter-ponies, but are more like dear-bug creatures than just bugs. Like if Xerneas and Flygon had a really adorable baby together. That's what they look like. And Thorax becoming the new leader fits perfectly in there. Hell the way that they built this ending up was kind of brilliant, with showing his shimmering, crystalline wings towards the end of part 1. Most people would assume that would be a side effect of living in the crystal empire, eventual crystalling of course. But nope, it twas love.
Love is all you need. Or at least, sharing it is.
Trixie and Chrysalis were the best parts, but mainly Trixie. We got to see her in action when she wasn't doing anything for her own selfish wants and needs. Using her illusions and trickery to benefit the team as well as showing what she can do. Her interactions with Discord were perfect and she definitely won "Face of the Episode"
Overall, I actually give this episode an 11/10. It was just pure fucking genius gold.
Yeah, this finale blew my mind. I had watched the first part and thought that the setup was just perfect, but could have potential to absolutely flop. Fortunately for us it didn't flop, and was an excellent finale.
But it wasn't just epic, it was also pretty damn entertaining, with the great humour from Trixie and her list of everything wrong with the mane six, to see the assembled team of side characters interact, Discords lack of power proving to us that Discord was just as entertaining, if not more!
