Correcting the Critics #2: "Save MLP"

It's been a while since I did my last part in the series. But recently, I saw something that encouraged this installment. A tweet pointing out what someone said 10 months prior. On November 25th 2022, Fluttercheer made a blog post on this site about Save MLP and sent a message about how supporters of that

ChatGPT came up with AU fanfic ideas

I'd say that the title of this blog post says it all, but I'd be lying. I'm not the type who would rely on ChatGPT. But I would certainly consider it once in a while and would most definitely recommend it, especially if you have writer's block.

Some of these ideas I may use sometime. Or anyone reading this blog can use them for their own inspiration.

Correcting the Critics #1: "Why Couldn't MLP been more epic?"

I've chosen to begin a new blog series where I look at the claims of trolls, haters, and ignorant people and pick apart their claims. I can't promise how regular or frequent this series will be. But I wanted to make a proper series with a straight-to-the-point name. In this series, I will also avoid actually posting any links or saying names. I don't want to give the people or groups any

My Predictions for "Where the Apple Lies" · 4:29am Oct 3rd, 2016

I never did a blog post about Viva Las Pegasus. But two things in that episode that happened were what I predicted would happen. (As a side note, the day that episode aired was the same day as I left on a trip to Las Vegas. And the hotel featured in the episode resembles Hotel Circus Circus, the same hotel I stayed at. Hotel Circus Circus is known for it's indoor amusement park.) Anyway, the two things that happened that i predicted were that the episode would actually act as a redemption story for the Flim Flam brothers, and that Flim and Flam wouldn't actually change their ways.

It's the fact that I got two out of two predictions correct that's the reason I feel I could be onto something with my predictions (since it's not the first time I've called predictions like that before). So I'd like to share my predictions with you. And if I'm right in my predictions, then spoiler warning.

For the Wikipedia description for the episode, it states...

Applejack tells Apple Bloom a story of how deceptive she was in her younger days and how the whole family paid the price.

And I came up with two theories...

The first theory is that perhaps when Applejack was younger, not only was she deceptive, but perhaps she was even as bad as Flim and Flam, And since said her deceptive ways caused the family to pay a price, that's probably what caused her to change her ways, and in turn, an explanation as to why Applejack is the element of honesty.

The second theory involves the price that was paid. First I'd like to go back to "Crusaders of the Lost Mark", where it's implied that Applejack's parents were dead, which is also supported by the fact that Lauren Faust intended for them to be dead as well. So my theory goes into some dark territory for the show. Perhaps the price the Apple family paid was the lives of Applejack's parents, making it her fault that her parents were dead.

Honestly, I'll be happy if I get the first theory correct, even if it's implied already. And in all honesty, I won't be surprised if I get the second theory wrong, considering the territory it goes into. But If I got it right, I'll certainly be pleased with myself. (I'll try to keep my ego at a reasonable size.)
