Hello everybrony
So, I've written that I was planning to finish the fourth chapter of other in one week, alias yesterday...
I tried.
I relly tried guys, but I just can't write 5k decent words in that amount of time. Not with a life to handle. Maybe you won't mind about it, a lot of writers needs their time on this site in order to update, but if I didn't fail you then I kinda feel like I failed myself. Because, honestly, I have a lot of ideas that I want to bring on this site for you to read them and maybe inspire you or just share a talk about it but I fell like I can't let it go all out.
So, to those who were waiting for the next chapter of Other(a dozen of people if I'm lucky)... I apologize. I'm working on it and I'll promise that I'll have finished for the next week, but since then I'm going to slow down my pacing.
Here is my target. After chapter four, I'll take two weeks for the next updating. But I'll try to write more than one chapter. Maybe I'll work on two stories in parallel. If life gives me a chance, I'll try to speed up again later.
But enough with the bad stuff, I've reached a milestone during the last week: the first chapter of ILBM has reached 1k views!
Also, I decided to post a blog with my goals regarding my page, as soon as I think about them.
Very few authors manage a weekly update schedule. People are totes used to waiting longer to get new chapters, I don't think anyone will be disappointed in you. I'd say as long as you can do once a month or so you're good, although a lot of people get by with less than that
As for failing yourself, I know the feeling
I also push myself for an update schedule and it's very frustrating to miss that. But it's important to remember that quality is always more important than updating on time, and that you need to figure out through trial and error what's reasonable for you to set as your goal based on your writing speed and amount of time you have to dedicate to it. So I'd say try two weeks out for now and see how that goes. Good news is that the more you write on a schedule the faster you'll get, so it's likely that you'll be able to go back to weekly in the future
And congratulation on the milestone

Just kidding. I never managed to have a story with a weekly update because of reasons, so I understand. But I really wanted to know what happened next.
