Not as much done this week. Why? Because anomalies. · 6:38am Sep 17th, 2016
Picked up Stalker in Steam and have been enjoying myself immensely. The game is apparently meant to be played on Master, as it leaves most creatures susceptible to bullets and bleed damage, so that's how I've been playing. There's something special about a game that puts an invisible Cthulu monster in the first dungeon that can kill you in two swipes.
Anyway, I'll be doing a bit more writing over the weekend, but I'm also going into the Zone.
Time played:17 hours.
Deaths to anomalies: 2
Deaths to mutants: 2
Deaths to bandits, stalkers, mercs, army : a lot.
Deaths to Zombies: 0
Times mauled by wild animals: 4-5
I'm going to go play it some more now, so GET OUT OF HERE, STALKER!
That game was so under-appreciated when I first played it. Then again, I got it back when physical copies of PC games were more of a thing, if you catch my drift. Unfortunately, that was also when the game was the buggiest, most unreliable game I'd ever played that could still qualify as a semi-AAA game in terms of quality of production and presentation. These days, it's actually playable if you've got the right patches.
That was a great game. There is actually a massive modded version out there which can be downloaded free with all kinds of extra stuff.
@Dastardly Hun - You mean the ' Misery ' mod, right? I loved the huge variety of content it added, and it also seemed to have buffed the graphics as well, but the name is no joke, it's damn tough.
CHEEKI BREEKI!
