Early New Year's resolutions, and Old Year's conclusions

Well, another year's come and gone. How did the resolutions go? Half and half in my case. Managed to partially accomplish what I set out to do, moving from wondering how to do things to figuring out what to do. I believe I've successfully identified the habits that are hampering or even harmful to me, so that's progress.

    Resolutions for the new year?

Summer update 2: What's Sticking to the Wall?

    Quick update on future plans.

Still working on the original stuff, I think I'm down to the last rewrite of what I wanted to do, only question is what to change in terms of details. Art's had some progress, but work responsibilities and sweet, sweet sleeping problems have caused disruptions.

    Summer update: what next?

Honestly? Not sure. I never publish anything that's not complete, so I'm not breaking any promises there. Thing is, I haven't started on anything new yet, and hadn't lined anything up before the previous one.

Random Thought for the Day, And Minor Update on Things to Come. · 10:27am Sep 11th, 2016

So, first off: it's the eleventh of September, 11/9, or 9/11, if you're using the American calendar system. For those who have tragedies to commemorate: you have my sympathies, and you might wanna look away from this post now.

Anywho, just a little something to consider for those with a darker sense of humour.

The eleventh of September is when we commemorate one of, if not the single, worst suicide attack in history.

The tenth of September, the day before, is World Suicide Prevention Day, something that started in 2002, the year after the attacks. Can't say they weren't topical with that, I suppose.

And what do we have here in Belgium (well, the Netherlands, and including Dutch-speaking Belgium), on September eleventh?

A little something called Open Monument Day.

Insert your witty oneliners (or airliners) here.

On another less random note, I've decided to chuck out another short story while I'm working on my novel (heh, I wish...) and trying to get the Warrior Meet fic first draft completed. My biggest hurdle right now is the same it's been for months: getting combat scenes that look and feel like a Naruto fight. So expect it to be a short story, probably a oneshot like the brainfarts I've done, with fighting. I'm leaning towards having Whimper and Rumble fight, and having it be like the Kakashi miniseries was in the manga: background info, but nothing too crucial that'd make the main plot impossible to follow without it.

I've also been working on drawing my OC's, as you may recall from my New Year's resolutions, they're mostly done but perspective still gets in the way. I also have an animation project code-named 'Stick Deer' in the works, will be sure to link it once it's presentable. Don't expect Disney or Miyazaki... or even Asylum levels just yet, though.
