The Dastardly Duo (also a quick check-in)

Recently, I realized that I needed to get some art for the less noble side of Set Sail. Our main villain has existed for years now as nothing more than words on a page and ideas in my head, but now we've got photographic evidence that he exists!

I made my account here exactly 10 years ago today. A whole decade of occasionally posting words about silly little talking horses and birds. I wish I had something planned but this kinda just snuck up on me. All I have is my thoughts, and I've only got one of those right now.

    I'm getting old.

Life's been wack, yo. · 7:24am Sep 4th, 2016

Let me say the same words every college student ever has said until they turn blue in the face.

College is hard.

I will never again make the mistake of trying to take a difficult math course over the summer. It was a 16-week course condensed down to just 6 weeks, and I'm still reeling from it. Despite practically killing myself with the textbooks from the intense, unending study sessions that went down in late July, I still failed the course. And so, since that fiasco wrapped up at the beginning of August, I've been sapped of nearly every emotion I know of. I lost all drive to go to the gym regularly, to write my silly horsewords, and even to keep in touch with a lot of my friends.

And it's making me feel crappy. I've been neglecting this facet of my fan life, and it's high time I got cracking on that next chapter of Learning Curve. I've taken a month away from horse fiction, and that's long enough. Mark my words, all three of you who cared enough to read this entire blog! Jack is back in black and done being a sick sack of frick frack!

Or at least I will be until life decides to dump another expired tuna casserole in my lap. Sometimes it feels like someone's messing with me on purpose...

That explains it.

I'm aiming to be around a little more often than I have been for the last month, so I'll be seeing you beautiful nerds soon. Later!
