Some sportlyness, featuring hidden depths and incompetent goals, rather than goalkeepers. Another positive moral, and a pretty fun episode. Your standard fare, and following the rule of slice of life this season has set, it seems. I have rather little to say about it for the moment, but I liked it, at least.
—Some actual characterisation for Snails. Wow. That telekinesis looks rather potent and complex for someone his age. I feel this episode giving Snails that sort of depth kinda justified looking for something more to his character, which in turn can validate the existence of Glittershell. I'll be so happy if such a nod is ever made. Also, I appreciate the distinction made that he's not necessarily stupid, just different.
—I have a feeling AJ tapped into a specific experience when she had that heart-to-heart with Pinkie and Flutters, which is good, as it shows she's still retained what she's learnt and has been growing as a character, and that this writer is aware of that.
—Fluttershy venting probably involved a bit more than just the frustration with the pressure put on her for this game. Holy crap, she's scary like this. I think she remembered her teenage years there.
