So the day after my birthday, I'm riding my new bike from Yukon to OKC for a job interview, and that's quite a long car ride, much less a bike. Anyways, in all 10,000 miles of riding I've done, I've never been hit by a car.
Until yesterday.
As a bicyclist, I have right of way on the road. Yet some idiot cut me off to jump onto the I44 ramp and hit me. I had some minor injuries, but the dude got mad at me for being in the road.
Wtf.
There was no sidewalk, where'd he expect me to ride? Anyways, state law prohibits riding bicycles on the sidewalk. So I was still in the right.
He drove away before the cops got there. Go fucking figure.
So now my brand new bike is wrecked, I'm beat up, and about to be late for an interview. However, I had the coolest EMSA employees ever. They gave me a ride to my interview in an ambulance.
Needless to say, I got the job.
Yikes! Glad your alright
And glad you got the job

Thanks. I'm glad too.

Is your bike getting repaired?
Congrats on getting the job. Hope you took that prick's license plate down and gave it to the cop, talk about a hit and run added to an already growing list of negligent driving (pending if they were messing around with something), possible attempted murder charges (pending local laws), and if they were under the influence. Hope you're doing alright

Yeah, it's fixed.

It would be classified as vehicular assault/assault with a deadly weapon. Unfortunately, they had a paper tag, and were therefore untrackable.

Good, did you have to pay for it or did insurance cover it?

I had to do it at home, but it's all good. My new job brings in $500 a week.

Good pay.
4187364 Any street cams that caught the whole thing? His face would have been caught.
