Happy Birthday Mr. Packard! · 11:28pm Sep 12th, 2012
I would like to take a short moment to say Happy Birthday to founder David Packard of Hewlett-Packard. I have to say that this man had a wit sharper than a knife, and a brain to match. It just seemed like there wasn't anything he could do or create. Together, he and Bill Hewlett rounded up their limited funds and set to work in a small garage behind David Packard's home. It was here that their innovative products caught the eye of another great mind, Walt Disney. Upon learning what this device was capable of, and seeing that none other could match it, Walt ordered one on the double for use in his movie "Fantasia". They created a company which puts nothing but its customers first, and has always had a mind for innovation and expansion. Yes, I think it is safe to say that David Packard co-founded a corporation which has (and will to this day) grit its teeth and butt heads with the face of adversity, push its way through every challenge which could be thrown at it. It is for that, and for my wonderful job, for which I think David Packard.
