I've Never Wanted to do This

This was an idea that I had while trying, and failing, to finish the most recent Finale chapters of This Changeling Life.

The story is okay, I feel like I wrote the characters well enough for a read, but that finale is kicking me in the teeth. And I’ve already identified the reason.

    I Need to see something

I'm honestly curious about just how many people assume Naruto is going to stomp in the upcoming battles. Now I'm going to put things into perspective.

Now, without going too much into spoiler territory, I'm going to say this: Chrysalis's worst match-up IS indeed Naruto. As it is with Aurelia.

Not a chapter, but I figure anything is better than nothing

So, yeah I have been kind of falling off my writing game and I sincerely apologize for that.

No real excuses, I just haven't had the energy to write before this past week, so I'll leave it at that.

That said, I've been working on it and I'm currently at 7.6k+ words.

    And as proof:

So, I know I haven't been as active as I used to be...4k+ and counting.

    First off, here:

    ...

Moondancer’s head moved in the direction of Naruto’s presence. She could tell it was him so accurately, even though she was sure he wasn’t using his magic.

‘It’s possible that he’s using his chakra instead.’ she surmised before turning her attention back to the group of changelings that barred her path.

    Getting Back Into it

So I've been all over for a while and working some things.

I've been working on this Tournament Game thing in Java the past month or so, and I think it's going over well, all things involved.

I've gone to a few networking events in the past month and have learned and received knowledge that will prove vital to my development.

You guys know how this goes, no? Despair, despair, blah blah, limit broken, blah blah, I didn't plan this.

Case and point I'm going to be dealing with this one for a while. This Omake is spiraling out of control.

I should know better.

Tide Over:

It had been at a cafe. Nothing big, or grand, just a normal cafe meeting.

Well, sort of.

She fiddled with a napkin, as she sat at the table.

“One more try, and another glory seeker,” she muttered, as she waited for her drink. She’d heard about this place, not much to be said about it, other than it sold a decent crepe.

She was one of the few patrons around, and yet she couldn't’ help but feel more alone than anyone else there.

She remembered that there was a team had been here, and even now she could spy their mess of a table.

Looking at the table of that Track team that came through here, she shrugged her shoulders. Hands itching, before she reached into her pocket, and removed a cigarette.

A personal vice, yeah, but she didn’t care at that moment.

Lighting the stick, she took a few puffs, before sighing out smoke. Eyes looking back around, she noted that there was someone at that messy table.

The redhead looked at the mess, and sighed, before moving to put things in an orderly manner.

She watched him as he did this, and finally realised that he was one of the guys from earlier.

Her hearing was pretty good, so she could hear the teen muttering about “poker game luck” and “tabs.” His uniform was resembling that of her old school. Turns out, when you’re a Wonderbolt, trainee or not, they could kind of pull you from the school system and homeschool you. With your permission of course.

She couldn’t help, but feel like she’d been hasty in her decision to join right away. She’d been advised to not do it, but she did, and she probably missed a whole lot of high school life. She was kind of like those glory seekers, she’d been dating as of late, and THAT revelation had her puffing her cigarette once more, before finding out it was done.

Looking at the wish for a worse future, she grounded it into the napkin, and stood up. Looking once more at that red headed teen, she watched him finish cleaning up. A server came by, and she watched as he took out card, and pressed it on the bill.

He watched as the server left, and waited. She didn’t know why, but she did as well, and when he looked up at her, hazel brown met yellow.

Actually getting a good look at his face, she felt her inner self groan, as her face grew slightly hot.

Oh no, pretty boys. Her one weakness.

As a matter of fact,

DOUBLE WHAMMY!

-“Yeah, I JUST got it back. I have no control right now. If it weren’t for Itachi and Iruka-sensei, we’d all be under medical scopes right now. I just can’t leave the house yet. Chakra’s leaking from me so much, that I’m warping the couch. I want to help, but sorry. We’d send Sasuke, but he’s going through the same thing as me.”-

Shisui Uchiha felt another groan coming on, as he slammed a fist against the metal door. Watching it dent, he cursed.

“Shit.” Even then, he checked to see if it at least opened the way to freedom, before cursing again.

How did it even come to this? He was simply checking out a complaint for the girl’s locker room!

He seriously hated being the junior mechanic assistant. If it got him into more situations like this, he’d be quitting...or getting fired, if someone misreads this little stunt of his.

He didn’t understand how a shinobi, such as himself, was born with such horrible luck.

Ever since he’d been reborn here, he’d been blasted with unfortunate circumstances such as this!

Seriously, by this point he-!

He heard the l ring, signifying the end of fifth period, and allowed his heart to calm.

‘I’ve been in here for an hour, surely the maintenance staff would remember by now!’ he exclaimed mentally, before remembering that the maintenance staff wasn’t that great. Hell, he was here BECAUSE it was like that in the first place!

Just then, there were sounds. A bunch of sounds.

Noises that were similar to girls. Girls coming into the locker room. Girls coming into the locker room.

He was screwed. Plain and simple, there was no way out of this.

He heard the noises getting closer, and he hoped against hope, that none of them had this locker.

“I can’t believe Dash won again.”

“She’s so far ahead, I swear…”

“I heard she’s been hanging around Sasuke, lately...”

“Oh please, as if. She’s still angry about him beating her in Soccer.”

“Ladies please, if we’re going to gossip, can we at last wait until I’m out of these dreadful clothes.” He something akin to sniffles, “Ugh, I smell just horrible. I’m going to have to find a design that breathes better than these.”

“That there, is Rarity for ya.”

“I don’t think I’m wrong to want some clothes to be more fit for their 8use, Applejack.”

He could hear footsteps, and his heart clenched as they came closer, and closer.

“Pfft, seriously, these lights are always blinking in and out,” he heard, the now named “Rarity”, huff. There was a chuckle from within the locker room.

“Yeah, well, we already sent in a request for the maintenance staff. Just gotta wait fer ‘em to come take care of it.”

“Yeah, this and all the other lights in the other hallways.”

“Well, actually, hasn’t Shisui been fixing all those lights up?”

“Shisui?”

“Yeah, you know, the one who got volunteered to help with the mechanic staff.”

“Oh yeah~ Man, would you believe it, if he got sent to fix THIS job. I’d just die.”

‘You and me, both, whoever you are.’ he couldn’t help, but agree. Fact was, though, that he DID get sent, and was now stuck.

What unlucky star did he get born under?

“Well I hope whoever they get to fix it, they fix it soon, hmm?” his heart felt like it’d been dropped into a freezer, as the fear settled.

“Since when?” he felt the door rattle, and he was praying to whatever god that be, that there would be a salvation to his plight.

Turns out, the gods felt like mocking him.

The door to the locker rattled open, and he froze, as he caught sight of the locker owner.

Alabaster white skin, deep blue eyes, a deep purple ponytail and sweaty gym clothes.

Oh yeah, and she looked just as shocked as he did, with him being there.
