You can't get to the light without walking through the dark first. There are twists and turns and sometimes it feels as if the light has disapeared, but it is there. You just have to look.

Late night blog post number I-have-no-idea (Casting call and AFLW updates) · 3:42am Aug 5th, 2016

Hello every one!

I have returned! Sorta...I'm sure y'all haven't even noticed I've been partially absent over the past week, other than short log ins here and there.

And if you have noticed, well I have a perfectly well thought out explanation........ I have been avoiding FIM Fiction.

I guess "avoiding" isn't the best word to describe it. I just haven't had much desire to do anything on here or writing wise over the past week and a half. Don't worry, sometimes I go through these little murky places when it comes to writing anything. But I am refreshed and ready for another go.

The Casting Call for All's Fair in Love and War has come to a close. I didn't get as many entries as I'd hoped at the beginning, but looking at the wonderful and absolutely descriptive ones I did get, I believe that this number will be more manageable and because of that, I want to try to give each entry time in the spotlight. Some entries will get more spotlight than others based off the bios, but don't fret. Everyone will get a well deserved place in the story! I really do want to thank each and every one of you who entered (and one special shout out to someone who willingly let me sorta remold her character to fit the story line better. You rock, girlfriend! You know who you are:twilightsmile:) In the next few days or so, I'll post the entry list and give shout outs to each OC owner. Remember, you'll also have a shout out & a link to your user page in the author's notes of the first chapter your character is in.

Before I delved head first into the murky place of the past 1 1/2 weeks, I had wanted to have the next chapter out next week. I believe that's not gonna happen at this point, but ya never know with me, as y'all should have figured out by now:raritywink:

Love and many thanks to all!
-SB

P.S. A little treat for y'all...visuals of Fire Agate and Onyx Knight

Good to hear! And don't worry too much about getting too few entries for your casting call. Too many characters just means that it's harder for the reader to keep track of them if they're introduced too quickly. Much better to write a few well characterized ponies than a bunch of two chapter cameos, and that way, you could focus on making those characters seem alive and engaging.
