I'm finally back at work on "A Shimmering New Year", despite heat and exhaustion and general frustration from life. Living without AC sucks, BTW.
Also, anyone on here familiar enough with TVTropes to be able to point me to one page there that talks about the dangers of being able to relate too closely with someone? I'm talking in the context of a psychologist getting too close to their patients here. "A Shimmering New Year" isn't going to go that far, but I'm worried it's gonna skirt along the edges a bit in the next chapter.
Unfortunately, not that familiar with tvtropes, but I'll keep an eye out. Also, I feel ya on that AC thing, had to go through something similar awhile back.
Not familiar with that in the context of tvtropes, just more from the medical ethics side of things.
Looking forward to the chapter though when it's ready, and condolences on the heat. Was there a few times when I was in school in New England, not pleasant at all.

Thanks for both of you. Closest I've found is "Crticial Psychoanalysis Failure", and thankfully, that isn't an exact match. As for the heat...well, I'll deal. Next chapter's almost done, however; best case scenario, I'll have it out before the end of the month.
