Equestria Girls: Cyberpunk. · 11:16pm Jul 18th, 2016
I'd been planning EqGverse as cyberpunk for a while-- Shadowrunish without being a direct shadowrun import, with the Awakening being semi-artificial, the result of the events of the movies. Grungar3x7 asked why none of the alicorns were futa, and stumbling along the way, I hit on Sunset Shimmer, whom I had only the vaguest of intentions about (though they're even vaguer with EqG Twi).
Meet Sunset Shimmer, Heavy Metal Princess! (Thanks, NineCaliber!) Once Princess Celestia's personal student and a 7' hyper unicorn with a heavy interest in weight training and parkour, Sunset Shimmer was always a practical thaumatological engineer and strict believer in perfection of everything, body, mind, and magic. Hir neglect of social things and the soul made for some dark times, but as of Rainbow Rocks, shi rose to her own unique apotheosis as the Alicorn guardian of the human world, Princess of Redemption, Music, and Technomancy.
Note: in this case, the futa sex is a full third sex, separate from male or female. Futa births occur roughly 10% of the time in both worlds. Because they have a separate cultural gender as well as a distinct sex, I use 'shi' and 'hir' in place of she or he, or his or hers. Hyper is an EqG only thing, though the earth pony equivalents are called giants. They're a lesser percentage of the population-- there's a lot more fantasy races popping up out here-- but they're equivalent in strength and size to minotaur of Hyper Epona.
Sunset is ripped. Shi may "only" be seven foot eight, but shi has spectacular muscle definition that is actually within comparable distance of Luna's platonic ideal of the hardbody. Shi certainly leaves Applejack behind there. Long wings, face is full of character more than precisely beautiful, with a strong jaw and a sad smile much of the time. Shi sheds it when it's time to play with the Rainbooms, though.
Shi isn't exactly androgynous; it's more that shi has secondary sexual characteristics that are immensely vast from both genders. Sunset's hips are as wide as the four inches taller Twilight Sparkle's (Hyperverse/Epona) are, not just proportionately. Hir thighs are nearly as big around as Twilight's too, and while Twilight is much stronger even pound for pound, muscle for muscle, in terms of size and shape-- well. Twi's padded, but Sunset could claim close to 0% body fat. If shi flexes, shi can pump out a pair of 55" peaks on the biceps, and hir quads are even more proportionally massive in full flexion.

Sexuality wise, shi's interested in males, females, and other futa alike. Most of whom if they have any lust for muscularity are pretty into hir, too. Hir breasts are about middling for an alicorn, gargantuan for anyone else at S-cup (and S-class, if you're fond of tits!). Hir prick is three feet long when erect, and hir balls droop down halfway along hir thigh. Shi's fully functional, having a vagina as well.
Relationship Spoiler: I'm withholding judgment on hir relationships in the human world, but when shi returns, shi takes great comfort in being Magic-Twi's sub. Poor Magic-Twi; Sunset is not in her weight class, if closer than anyone except Cadance from below, and like several reformed villains often feels a bit too guilty to top. Because of hyper socialization and stronger instincts, they've had problems on the few occasions where the pair have switched. Sunset was the one non-Astral who Twilight trusted when she desperately needed some sub time. Believe you me, both have discussed how they're going to use this fact on Sunset's next visit home or Hopper's first human vacation.

The Heavy Metal Princess was always into body modification to an extent; shi came to the EqGverse with hir tongue and ears done in terms of what you could show others, and a tattoo of a crown shi never told Celestia about between her shoulderblades. Shi also had horizontal nipple and clittoral hood piercings, and a single frenum close to the flare. Since transcending, shi's continued to have work done, going to a full Jacob's Ladder and adding a lorum beneath. She also added a trio of studs on hir back, just above where hir tail and wings come in, and a stud in hir otherwise extremely flat belly button. The crown tattoo is gone, replaced with a picture of hir hand clasping with Twilight's. Between where hir wings come in, below there, shi has Celestia's, Twilight's, and Luna's cutie marks tattooed on and designed to illustrate and accentuate hir musculature rather than hide it.
Shi's assisted by the Humane Six, including EqG Twilight Sparkle, the first EqG native alicorn-equivalent. I'm holding off on precisely what she's the alicorn of until after the next movie. Sunset would love to have more time to play guitar with the Rainboom Runners and figure out the nuts and bolts of how magic works in the human world, but she and the Rainbooms don't have time for that!
The Equestria Girls universe is a heavy cyberpunk reality. Nation-states broke down long ago, with some only surviving in the names of important places, like schools. Mega-corporations stride over the landscape, and anyone not born into a high-corporate family struggles just to survive. But the events of the first movie was the EqGverse's Shadowrun-style Awakening, and magic has flooded back into the world. Dragons have awakened in the deeps, and ordinary citizens and even the SINless (equivalent) may wield great power. Note that unlike shadowrun, technology and magic are not at conflict, not even in the body; a cybered up street sam may be a physical adept as well, or even a mage.
Twi was being groomed to be a corporate scientist of high family; these days, she uses her skills and newfound might to help Principal-CEO Celestia of the Canterlot Educational Nonprofit Group try to secure a brighter future from the ashes of the old world. She's brilliant as ever, if still unwieldy outside of the cuthroat and ruthless world of megacorp executive families. Mind you, she never quite felt like she fit in there, either.
The rest of the Humane cast primarily manifest as the species of this world-- giantess, elf, human (?) and human. It's a working title. When they pony up, the usual bits are added, but that's separate from their earth-magical chrysalis.
AJ came out of her chrysalis as a giant-- literally! Always an amazonian woman, she towers 12' tall now, though she has about the same strength as her 7'8" hyper mirror self did pre-apotheosis in Equestria. She's a heavy-hitting street samurai, with custom built cyber that Sunset and Twi put together. When the group needs muscle, she supplies it by the shovelful!
Sadly, the Apples lost their farm long ago. While Bloom and Mac are also giants-- Mac is the tallest person in the world-- they've lived just barely above the line of SIN, where having an ID means you can get real work, and someone might care if a crime was committed against you… by the SINless. Granny Smith's father was smart enough to sell the farm when the agricorps rolled in, and they have what's positively opulent in this harsh world, an apartment actually owned in the family name.
Rarity was reborn as an elf. Fortunate enough to have been born into a managerial family, her parents were sentimental enough to send them to their teacher rather than the expensive crystal prep. Magical and a mistress of multithreaded tasks, in addition to her love of fashion, she's always been a fantastic decker, and continues to provide cybersecurity-- and cyberoffense-- for the team while she learns her new skills.
Pinkie Pie looks human. She is not an extension of the Pink One, and I mean this objectively. Her family is a bit odd, but who isn't, living just above the SIN-demarcation line.
She bears a connection to the Pink One, however. Pinkie's role in the group could be best described as a jack of all trades and expert physical infiltrator. No one knows exactly how she ends up in the places she does, but she does it well. Is there camouflage to be found in being so outrageous you can't help but hit absurdity filters? If there is, Pinkie Pie has it!
Rainbow Dash lives for speed in any world. SINless, she clawed her way into recognition after Principal-CEO Celestia sponsored her with a scholarship, and boy has she blossomed! While she loves her pony'd up wings, Elf Rainbow Dash remains physically active in land and sea as well as air. She can street sam along with mighty AJ, but where she really excels is as a rigger, a mistress of the speeding woman-machine interface or the cloud of micro-drones hovering with a bit of a boost from Sunset and Twilight's levitation enchantments.
Fluttershy comes from a quiet family at the worker cog level. She fell in love with the rare remnants of the green, wild world, and with those scattered upshoots that come through urban decay, long before magic was reawakened. Her magic is a strange, fey thing, and she's nearly as powerful a her unusual, mystic arts as EqG Twilight might have been had apotheosis not tipped the scales.
Principal-CEO Celestia and VIce Principal-COO Luna appear to be completely normal if extremely large and amazonian humans (as they've always been and pbbbbt at the movies' shrinking them), if powerful mages. They have made the transition very, very easily.
I have more Sunset desc but it became increasingly clear as I was writing it that it was basically Twilight and Hopper taking a vacation in the EqG verse and having fun with hir.

The first thing this sentence made me think of, was this song. I know that Mr. Wills wasn't talking about the piercings, but that's where my mind goes when I hear the song, and what plays in my head when I read it in clop/fap stories.
