State of the Writer Report: 7/8/2016 with Preview · 3:49pm Jul 8th, 2016
Greetings to all! I hope you're getting this, because this report has a special announcement to go with it. I have been writing a bit more, so progress is being made in Iron Mare 2. Hopefully, my editor will be getting back to me about the latest completed chapter, which marks the halfwayish point in that story. So that's good news! Additionally, I've been putting together the Fetlock Holmes introductory oneshot, but haven't finished it yet. It's getting there, but I've had another idea clawing at the back of my mind. That idea is The Darkness: Prelude, which is my prequel to my story The Darkness. This one will be published as I finish the chapters, as I want to put out something for you guys to read while I work on writing Holmes and a story universe. So, given I'm nearing completion of the first of three lengthy chapters, have the summary of this story:
If you look back far enough, if you can ever find the books of the time, you'll find a story. You'll find a story of a great king who ruled over a lost empire. You'll find the story of how he once fell in love. Then you'll find the story of how he went mad. You'll find the story of how he enslaved the empire and bent it to his will.
These stories are only partially true. The real story, the true tale of the rise and fall of King Sombra, is what awaits here.
So there's that. I hope I've piqued your interest. Sorry it isn't for Iron Mare 2, but maybe this'll keep your hunger for stories sated until it's time for that one. If I can finally write it well again. And if I hear back form my editor. But if all goes well, you will all have something new to read by the middle of the month.
