What I would do if I were in charge of season 3 (and why you should be glad that I am not)

10) I would relegate Trixie to a background character--a shot of her tail here, a shot from behind there, a poster elsewhere--and not give her any lines until the season finale, where her actions would be pivotal to the salvation of Equestria. Then I would sit back and watch to see the bronies figure out if they should love me or hate me.
9) Scootaloo would get her own episode... but would explain nothing of her living situation. We wouldn't meet her family or parents or see her house or anything. (I would then check the internet for pictures of people burning me in effigy). Oh yeah--and she probably won't end up flying, either. But I like Scooaloo, so she won't end up in the hospital or anything. Probably.
8) I think season three needs more Luna and playful Trollestia. I think it would be funniest to pit them against each other indirectly (having them manipulate other characters).
7) CMC episode. Tree sap abounds. Cutie Marks don't. And somehow, Twilight ends up worse off because of whatever they tried.
6) Bon Bon would get a background line every other episode--but in a different voice every time. In the finale, when she's holding on to Lyra for dear life and screaming in fright at whatever is going to be attacking for this finale, Lyra would pause her own screams of terror and call her out. "Your voice has been sounding weird recently. Am I the only one who's noticed this?"
5) One character would use the term "love and tolerate" as a throwaway line and then maybe people will stop using that trite phrase
4) Big Mac is present, but silent in every episode for the entire season... until the very end, when one of the invading soldiers lays a hoof on Applebloom. He then will physically lift him up, look him right in the eyes, and gently shake his head and say, "Nope." And then he will ~~take his head in his forehooves and literally and physically rip his head off~~ buck him into next Tuesday.
3) An episode where Applejack loses her hat--and everything seems to go wrong that day until she finds it (like their barn burning down, and apples going bad earlier than expected). For some reason, it would probably be Sweetie Belle's fault.
2) Vinyl Scratch would appear, too; but always wearing her glasses. She will take them off, but not when you can see her face (she's eating at a diner counter, back to the camera, glasses sitting next to her plate). The one time she takes them off facing the camera, it will pan over and down so you can't actually see her eyes (or know their elusive color). Bonus points for the season finale, when her glasses get broken, and as the camera pans up she facehoofs--covering her eyes.
1) Rainbow Dash would go on her first date (with Rarity's help, of course--there's plenty of personality clashing there), but no one ever will ever mention the other pony's gender.
