Something that I’ve been thinking of

But my last blog (deleted) was my thirteenth blog and I HATE the number thirteen. It’s an odd number (I hate them in general, except for 3, 5, and anything ending in 5)… but I hate 13 most of all! So I made two of them at relatively the same time, yay me. I held off on making new blogs for the simple reason that I couldn’t figure out what to say for this one, and I didn’t want that 13 to be the number of blogs I have total any longer than I had to. Which is why I’ve been deleting some, and because I felt some of the old ones were unnecessary.
I feel I should make this known now. There are things I like doing in my stories. The human tag is a thing in all of them, as are humans using magic, and/or humans having advanced technology, whether through electricity and whatnot like real life or powered through magic, as I do in one of the series that I’m writing.

Also, it’s been on my mind for a while, actually. I think I should rewrite chapters 1 through 4 of Wrath of the Harbinger for the simple reason of removing the 4th wall breaking narrator. What I’m thinking of doing after that is just some minor editing of things, things that feel a little clumsy and whatnot. I’ve been reading over it in my google docs and... I’m not entirely happy with it even though I like it, if that makes sense. What I’ve been thinking of doing is this. Edit the chapters that I want to edit, clean up some things, then have those be the chapters everyone gets to read on Fimfic. HOWEVER, I’ll leave the original chapters in google docs in the author’s note which shall be moved to the top. It’ll just be those four chapters though, I don’t expect something similar to this to happen again anytime soon.
The reason I want the original chapters to be viewable is this. I do enjoy the initial chapters, and I bet some other people actually liked the 4th wall breaking narrator, even if I also cringe at it at the same time in some parts. I’ve had people say they love it, others say that it is a mixed feeling, and others say it just breaks immersion. I think some of the dislikes might be because of the narrator, JUST a little bit, but not enough to make much of a difference. It might help prevent future dislikes, because so far... no one has actually commented on it with the intent to really say how much they disliked it. People have commented on it and say how I can improve and whatnot, that’s fine. I don't think some of the dislikes will magically turn into likes (and I know at least one person disliked it out of spite, he knows he is) because if they disliked it, then I had my chance to impress them and I failed.
But yeah, I want to keep those original chapters and put them up as links to google docs for each chapter so that people can look at the originals if they enjoyed them.
However, this doesn’t mean it’ll be done soon, or that it WILL happen, as I’m still on the fence about it. I suppose you guys, at least, those of you who have read it, can offer your opinions about this and whether or not I should go through it, even though I’m strongly considering it. If I do decide to go through with it, again, don’t expect anything to happen soon, the release of new chapters versus editing old ones are a higher priority, as are other things that I want to do.

—Basically, it’s going to come down to a vote. If a bunch of you think the chapters should be rewritten, I’m going to do it, since I’ll probably be of the same mind. So comment here or on the blog with the link I provided. I'm doing it anyway, as there's really no reason not to do so.
—No, just because they’re being rewritten doesn’t mean it’ll drastically change the story, this is something I should mention. It’s really to clean it up.
—For those who enjoyed those four first chapters for what they originally were, I WILL leave a link to a public Google Doc in the author’s note for each of those chapters, which shall then be moved to the top. So both you, and anyone else (those new readers getting into this story) thinking they might want some variety, will have the option for both. Thus, satisfying everyone.
—I don’t expect any of my current dislikes to suddenly turn into likes. I had my chance to impress, and I botched it up. Though there was one guy who I know disliked it out of spite. And even then that was probably my fault for being too aggressive in promoting my story in its early days.
—Even if I do decide to do the rewrites, don’t expect them to be done any time soon, even though it might be pretty easy. I have other priorities, like writing my other stories, (yes, I have other stories planned, two new big adventure ones planned, in fact, both definitely going to be rated mature as well; I can speak more about it later) or getting new chapters for this story released. So that’s a higher priority, along with other things that I actually want to do.
—To clarify again. Google doc=original chapter. Fimfic=edited chapter. It seems obvious, but I want to be extra clear.

—The chapters will not totally be the original way they were. I’ll catch typos and change them as needed.
