Just a quick update.
I'm actually just trying to figure out how the training chapter will go, and how to go about the first Flash/Captain Cold encounter. Plus, and idea or 2 involving the flash of this story has pop into my head that i need to deal with since it concerns a lot of stories on this site in general.
Infinity Run is basically a Secret Wars/Crisis on Infinite earths type story that would actually allow writers to deal with things they'd normally avoid, like re-writes or introducing concepts from others stories that just don't fit. Unlike Multiversal resets that only allow those who were involved remember it, Infinity Run allows the authors to decide what stays, what goes and what changes/Doesn't Change. You wouldn't have to change/add/remove anything you don't want from/into your story even in you were to write a tie-in to that fic of Infinity Run. If I decide to write it I'll ask some other if they'd like to do something like this.
Plus, I'm trying to figure out a way to end the first arc of the Fastest Stallion Alive with the formation of the Justice League in a way that feels right for the fic.
Hello there. Thanks for the info. As for the first Flash/Captain Cold encounter, well I'll try to think of some stuff.
Obviously, there would be some "freeze blast dodging" and it would probably be either a bank robbery or a jewel heist. Maybe Captain Cold can comment "Odd. There is only one guy I've heard of who can move that fast, and you are not only the wrong build to be him, your outfit is definitely not his." and/or "You're very fast. I'll give you that. But all I need is one lucky shot."
Eventually, Captain Cold gets the idea to shoot, not where the Flash IS, but where he WILL BE and ends up creating an ice barrier in front of Flash (this would obviously be before he learns to vibrate through solid objects) and then zap Flash into another ice block while he is stunned.
After Flash is freed from his ice block prison, Rainbow can comment on how he needs strategy just as much as speed and then give Flash a few pointers on strategic speed use, which comes in VERY handy in the Flash's second encounter with Captain Cold and allows the Scarlet Speedster his first triumph.
Also, there could be a scene somewhere between Cold's first encounter with Flash and his second encounter where Captain Cold reads about his mother getting captured by Dark Knight.
As for the Infinity Run, well, I'm going to have to get back to you on that.
As for the Justice League part, maybe there could be a brief epilogue scene one year later (after pretty much all the heroes in the future league have been more or less established) where they are discussing how they, working together, managed to thwart an alien invasion (greater detail will be revealed in a later story). And, in fact, they worked so well together that maybe they could do it more often.
