It Begins Again!

Hi all! Lemme just say I am shocked that I got all this attention. I had no idea my fics would become so popular. Thank you all for reading them and following me in turn. It's stuff like this that motivates me to hammer away at these keys and pump out story after story. Now, I thought I'd let you all know that you won't exactly see another fully completed story posted in the next few days. What I have posted is all the stuff that is pretty much completed. I'd thought I'd let you all know a few things, so first off:

My next fic, which is currently in the works. "Purple Haze" starring you and Twilight Sparkle. Now, as you know, most of my stories have some sort of twist to it that keeps it interesting and here it is. Coffeebean was the one who started the whole "Clover" thing, which he equated to marijuana in Equestria. And I thought "Why not make 'you' a stoner?" I had some negative reactions when I pitched the idea on the SFG, with some people claiming that they wouldn't read it because 'they could never see themselves using drugs' or 'they couldn't see Twilight falling for a stoner'. Well, I ignored the nay-sayers and went with it. They have every right to not read it as I have every right to write it. So, lemme clarify some things for those already a little uneasy about the fic:

1) "You" are not the stereotypical stoner. I'm sorry, but I know stoners and they are all night like what the media wants you to think. I'm sorry, but Cheech and Chong, Jay and Silent Bob, and That 70's Show has given the public that the idea that if you smoke pot, you immediately become stupid and lazy. As said, I know some stoners and they can be pretty motivated, philosophical, and clever. That's what you are. In the prologue, Twilight asks the question "You were what, a C student?" to which you respond "For your information, Ms. Sparkle, I graduated with honors." And before you say it, yes, there are stupid stoners out there and they embarrass the hell out of the ones that I'm trying to portray in this story. And before you message me with the question, no, I don't know this from firsthand experience. I can't smoke because of asthma and I'm pretty sure my ulcers would do something to it if I ate it.

2) I'm trying to portray a curious Twilight as best I can. It's not like "you" go up to her and say "Hey wanna try some clover?" to which she says "Sure, why not?". I would not do that. Instead, I'm trying to show a curious scholar who is now reconsidering preconceived notions. She's experimenting and enjoys some (but not all) of what she's experiencing.

I will have the prologue and chapter 1 posted as soon as I finish chapter 1. It's going to be a little long, though. And heavily formatted. So, it may take a while.

Wow, I did not know I had so much on my plate... Heh...^.^;

Well, it's all good practice for the novel I have planned when I get to it. It's not a pony novel, sorry. It's a first person horror/thriller story entitled "The Art of Necromancy". I'd love to go into the details, but I'm working on those still. I've got a plot, conflict, setting, but there's still a lot I'm missing. I'm trying to get it all on sticky-notes and put them on the wall, but they keep falling off. D:<
