Another year older.

Well tomorrows my birthday. I always get depressed at this time of the year. No family. Few people i talk to or am friends with. Add to that often being broke. Birthdays tend to drift by. Little to no celebration. No big dinners, no parties. Often just at home alone with little to do.

It could be worse, on two occasions my half-sister took us (my mom and I) out to celebrate. One would think this ideal, except the person that invited us 'out' conveniently forgot to bring money. So, we are in a situation where (after eating a hardy meal) we not only cannot provide the waiters with tips for their service, we're scrounging for change between the seat cushions of the car so that no one has to stay behind while the others are looking for money. Not to mention, once you're an adult, even a forensic pathologist or detective has difficulty determining the age of a body without a paper trail or personal admission.
