History: Born in Stable 13, the Stable set aside for Ponies that worked for the Ministry of Arcane Science under Twilight Sparkle, Midnight left her home Stable with the other inhabitants once it was opened to the Wasteland. They where found by the Dayrunner tribe that made their home nearby and adopted into the tribe. Midnight quicky excelled at tribal life, becoming a noted hunter and tracker among the Dayrunners. She later had a daughter named Aurora, though the father is currently unnamed.
At some point Midnight seems to have made contact with Spike/Watcher.
When the New Canterlot Republic first encountered the Dayrunner tribe, the tribals where willing to open to trade and established peaceful relations with the NCR. Midnight joined the NCR's growing military, and became one of the founding members of the NCR Rangers, the elite fighting force of the Republic.
When the war with the Crimson Empire broke out, Midnight and her Rangers where stationed in the south. Midnight was notable for having chosen to keep civilian casualties to a minimum during the early days of the war, which put her at odds with General Goldmane. She was eventually put in charge of the NCR Forward Base in the Northern Fields, where a standoff was forming. It was eventually broken by Ruby Starlight, and Midnight has since been assigned as a Liaison officer to her.
Personality: Calm and collected, Midnight hates anyone that will hurt civilians, which often puts her at odds with her CO. She's generally kind and helpful, but she won't exactly be a happy Pony if something comes up that would hurt innocent ponies.
Ruin's Thoughts: Midnight has kind of a weird origin, she started as a picture of what I would look like if I was a Pony. Yeah, I know how that sounds like, no she's not based on me, I just really liked the design and decided to incorperate it. How was easy enough, I wanted to include the NCR, and Midnight as an NCR Colonel was a good start.
Funny thing is that RubyxBluesky (or RubySky) wasn't the only choice, one option I was considering early on was to have Ruby and Midnight hook up. Probably in retrospect it was a good idea not to do this since Midnight works better as a mentor character.
