Ha, so many of my headcanons about her family have been torpedoed. They're actually really sweet, and it looks like Fluttershy takes after her dad a little in mannerisms.
Also, no one can tell me Fluttershy is a "little girl" when she's clearly independent and has a job and her brother is a sponger with 5 o' clock shadow.

Haha I've been looking forward (with some trepidation) to seeing Fluttershy's family in this episode. But I'm now excited about it! It's always a little hard when headcanons get torpedoed, tho. :)

Oh they will probably still say it, because there are diehard Dislestia fans out there--not all of them, of course-- but a lot that insist that she's a little girl because they want her to be "too young" for Discord. Uh...by that logic everyone's too young for Discord. To me that just seems like an excuse for theirs to be the "one true ship."
Dammit, who cares? Stop making up excuses and just ship what you want!
Also none of the other Mane Six seem to be infantilized to the extent she is.
