Tulpa · 5:59pm May 29th, 2016
So with my latest story The Mystic Cipher I included a Tulpa, and unfortunately it would seem some people don't really know what a Tulpa actually is. So here I will explain a Tulpa and their creation.
and I'm here to help!
meet my Tulpa. Pinkie pie. now weather you believe in this as fact or fiction is completely up to you.
but remember, cookies.
.... Aanyways, to set the record strait a Tulpa is NOT a familiar. A Tulpa is a sort of imaginary friend if you will. they can be anything you want, from a simple floating ball, to
Fluffy balls ob randomness obsessed with cookies.
Tulpas never start out as full fledged individuals that can speak for themselves, and take months if not years of constant work to get there. some people simply lack the patience to make on in the first place.
So many forgotten friends *sniff* it's just so sad.
making a Tulpa is like making a character, or if the character(s) already exist, and you want them to be similar, you need to focus on them being that individual. talk to them how you would that individual and imagine them acting, looking and speaking as that individual would. this has to be done on a daily bases, otherwise the work will fade and you would need to start over.
so many unfinished Twilights *shudder*
*sigh* anyway... once a Tulpa is fully developed it's like having your best friend inside of your head. keep in mind that you have to treat them like an actual person instead of just an object. after they reach a certain level of awareness they require less attention as they can sustain themselves without you constantly having to build on them. that is NOT however an excuse to ignore it, you wouldn't ignore your child once it's born would you? same goes for a Tulpa.
checkers every day! wheeeee!
you needn't worry about them being hostile towards you as in most cases they treat you like a Christian treats god since you are the one that made them.
but this isn't always the case. I have yet to here of anybody having a nasty Tulpa yet. we normally view are creators as just that. the one that made us. some times it's a deep friendship, some times its... more
all in all a Tulpa is an imaginary friend that can think for itself.
Ah i sorta understand what you mean
A Tulpa huh? Never heard of it until now. I mostly talk to myself and I don't think having a Tulpa will work out for me.
