Interview Time: Sunset Shimmer and Adagio Dazzle

So, I was 'tagged' in Krickis's blog post (go read it, it's super funny), which is an interview with characters that are in a relationship! It's a great writing exercise as well, and also I wanna do it.

Let's say this takes place two months after Sweet Atonement, when The Dazzling's first tour around central Canterlot has ended. Adagio has been brought in for an interview, and Sunset has tagged along.

Who are you? Age / race?
Adagio: Wouldn't you already know my name? Why else would you schedule an interview with me? I'm Adagio Dazzle, a member of 'The Dazzlings', which I assume you've heard of? We're only the hottest new singers to grace this world. I'm a Siren, in case you couldn't tell from my outrageously beautiful voice and hair. And I'm around a thousand years old, give or take a few centuries.

Now who's your lover? What's his/her age/race?
Sunset: My name is Sunset Shimmer. I used to be a pony from Equestria, but due to...some issues, I moved to the human world. I just turned 19.
Adagio: What? When?
Sunset: Like, a few days ago.
Adagio: And you didn't tell me? What happened to trust and communication, Sunny? Why are you lying to me?
Sunset: Dagi, can you chill? We can celebrate later, it's not a big deal. Let's just get on with the questions.

What makes your lover so special?
Adagio: Well, I'm so glad you asked. Sunny here is the most amazing girl I have ever met, other than myself. The end.
Sunset: Don't worry, I'll give a more articulate answer. The first thing that drew me to Adagio was her determination to make things right. Her desire to become a better person after the Battle of the Bands made me see her in a different light. She wasn't the scary, evil seapony I saw that night. She came to me vulnerable, scared, and ready to learn about the magic of friendship. She's loyal, fierce, and doesn't let anyone tell her what to do. Her protectiveness over her sisters also shows how caring she is. She's...just perfect.
Adagio: Yeah, she helped me when I was being a real...not good person. Plus, she keeps me well fed, if you know what I mean.
Sunset: Magic! She means magic. She sings to me and I give her...magic.

Have you ever doubted your lover?
Sunset: Well, there was that one time where her giant, bloody mother was threatening everyone and I thought that she would betray all her friends, but she didn't.
Adagio: Sunset told me that there were more gummy bears in the candy box, but when I went to check, there were none. I have not trusted her since.
Sunset: Um, you do know that Sonata practically inhales all the candy I keep in the house, right?
Sonata: Yeah, I sorta ate everything when I came over that time.
Adagio: Sonata? What are you doing here!
Sonata: Why are you the only one who gets an interview? What about me and Aria?
Adagio: You'll get your own time, now get. Out! Or just sit quietly in the corner.

Have you ever used pickup lines on your lover? Which ones?
Adagio: [A loud bang is heard. Adagio slams the table with her hand] Did it hurt when you fell from heaven!
Sunset: Yeah, she got drunk and started saying these awful pick up lines. My favorite one is "Are you an alarm operator? Cuz you're turning this Siren on."
Adagio: In my defense, that's a really good one.

Which is the most embarrassing moment you've had with your lover?
Sunset: Oh my gosh, this one time, we went on a lunch date, and we were sitting at this amazing restaurant that had the best bean dishes ever. So, we order the 'Big Bean Bonanza' dish, and Dagi's just chowing down, and then the waiter comes and asks, "How's your meal?", and before any of us can say anything, Dagi lets out this insanely ripe fart.
Adagio: That...didn't even happen. I don't...remember.

Do you believe in waiting until after marriage to have sex?
Adagio: I literally do not have the patience to keep my hands off this girl, and we had sex like two weeks after we became friends. I showed her a whole new world.
Sunset: Yeah, I sorta gave up on that idea when I arrived here.

Do you have any desires that you would like to try with your lover? If you do then what is it?
Adagio: My only desire is to have a long relationship with her.
Sunset: Aw, Dagi, you're so sweet! I also wanna try BDSM.
Adagio: [Her eyes widen in fear.]

Do you know your lover's weak spot? Does he/she know yours?
Sunset: Right here. [She points at Adagio's lower abdomen.] You can't see it, but I can find it.
Adagio: Sunset gets really weepy during those movies about horses that are told they can't win the big race, but then this little girl believes in them and they win. It's a strangely specific pattern. And everyone knows that my sisters are my weak spot. Anything happens to them, and I get a little...vicious.

What happens if you find your lover with another man/woman? How would you interpret that? Familiar? Friend? Cheating?
Adagio: If anyone tries to take Sunset away from me, I would literally kill them. [She drags her finger across her throat.]
Sunset: I would never cheat on Adagio, probably because I know that's not an exaggeration, but also because there's no one alive that's better than her.
Adagio: Everyone else is too weak to handle me, only Sunset is the strongest one to tame me.

Any fantasy with your lover? Pervy answers allowed.
Sunset: Adagio keeps asking me to call her...what was it? Kal...easy?
Adagio: [Nervous laughter] I might be a really, really big fan of 'Game of Thrones'. But is it worse than Sunset asking me to address her as Princess Sunset Shimmer?
Sunset: Enough. Next question.

Ever had fights?
Adagio: When you put two strong-willed girls together, there do tend to be a few fights. We make up real quick, though.
Sunset: We can both be really stubborn at times, but we always compromise in the end. They're small fights, really.

How was the love confession?
Sunset: Oh, it was so romantic. [She rolls her eyes]
Adagio: Ok, so I was really frazzled after having an ink monster in my blood, sorry about that Sunset, and I was really scared, so I told her that I wanted to make her happy and it got really intense and she rejected me and I got angry...but then we talked about it later and we, you know, got together. I didn't say 'I love you' until the morning after, since I was leaving to go on tour and emotions were high.
Sunset: Ok, that was part was sweet. Not the part where you went nuts on me.
Sonata: The first time I told Fluttershy I loved her was when we went on our first date!
Fluttershy: It was, um , really sweet, wasn't it?
Sunset: How did you get in here, Shy?
Fluttershy: Oh, um, Sonata texted me.
Sonata: Yeah, we were at the park, and we were feeding the ducks, and I looked at Fluttershy and realized how totally cool she was and I told her, 'Hey, I love you!' and she said 'Same' and now we're together.
Adagio: That's new. When did this happen? No one tells me anything.
Sonata: No one cares about you, that's why.
Fluttershy: That's...not true! We all care, Adagio.

How do you feel about your lover's family members? Do you know them?
Sunset: Oh, I've spent enough time with her family. Her sisters are absolutely great. I love them more than I love Adagio. Hate her mom, though. My parents still live in Equestria...if they're even alive anymore.
Adagio: We can always go back one day, can't we?
Sunset: Maybe...
Adagio: And I've met Sunset's family. Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie...they're all beautiful, wonderful girls. But Sunset's the best!

Speaking of families, do you wish to start one together?
Adagio: I'm trying to focus on my career for now.
Sunset: And I want to go to university. Although, it would be nice to adopt one day. I would love to have a chance to raise someone to become good and kind.
Adagio: Maybe we can just get a cat.

We're finished! What are you going to do now?
Adagio: Celebrate her birthday! She's also helping us write our first studio album.
Sunset: Since I've graduated from CHS, I'm taking a gap year to help the Dazzlings, maybe go on tour with them before applying to some other schools. Don't know what I'd do, though.
Adagio: We'll figure it out together.
Sunset: Thanks.
[They share a small kiss]
Sonata: Aww! Can't believe my sister found someone who can handle being close to her stinky butt breath.
Fluttershy: Sonata! Don't be rude. Have you ever smelled your breath in the morning?
