Midwest Brony Fest Day One! · 4:19pm May 27th, 2016
So, last year, MWBF started at around 1:00 in the afternoon. I thought it would be the same this year so I planned accordingly. Rather than pay for an unnecessary night at the hotel, I could just go in the morning. Good plan, right?
WRONG!
I wasn't aware that the schedule was posted for the convention... and they're now starting things at 10:30. I had to get up at 6:00 AM to beat rush our and make it hear on time. I ended up forgetting my Twilight's Secret Shipfic deck at home because of that. I'm going to have to find someplace to nap before too long.
Now, on to better(?) things! My Little Ties is here, and I've already spent $75 on new ties and tie accessories!
I'll be posting more updates through the day. To anyone who's here, you'll probably be able to spot me by my blue FiMFiction hat, or by my Twilight Flopple plushie, and when I'm not at panels I'm usually at the tables with my laptop. See you folks soon!
Edit# 1: Seeing as I haven't had anything to actually eat yet, I'll be abandoning the tables to find food. I'm hoping to be back by noon-ish.
Edit #2: I lied earlier. I got sucked into the welcoming ceremony, then ran into my fellow panelists! Food's been delayed until 2:00. Once food and check-in with the hotel is complete, THEN I'll be waiting at the tables.
Edit #3: Food consumed! Check-in complete! I'm now sitting at the tables at the far corner of the main hall, trying to do some writing.
Edit #4: As of 6:00-ish, I'm back in my hotel room to take a bit of time to relax and grab a snack. I'll be working on my next Mente Materia chapter, though if folks at the convention want to chat/do stuff, all you have to do is send me a comment/message!
