Sombra Stories are on the Rise · 1:27pm May 24th, 2016

Okay, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this past week (starting with last week), but there has been a upswing in the number of new King Sombra stories and new chapters added to older stories - one started and abandoned way back in 2014. No kidding - that one popped up earlier last night!
Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but it seems to have started with two authors I follow who have really high follower counts (in the thousand range!) who posted a story each the same evening. Ever since that night, there has been at least 1-3 King Sombra stories/updates in the front page feed every day. On one hand I think it's great, but on another I see another half dozen or so more unfinished stories added to the already LARGE pile out there and it bugs me. I have a dozen in a folder entitled, "Will probably never be completed" and many, MANY more in my over 230+ sized Read 'em Later folder.
While two of the new authors are good, promising writers, I fervently wish the other AWESOME writers I stalk regularly here from the beginning would continue their stories. Of those long missed, only Topside has reappeared. I am still holding out for Evehly, Askre, dragonfan810, Broomstick Mick and Yoru-the-Rogue's promised sequel to her Lunbar fic that made me SOB at the end for Sombra! *sigh!*
Maltrazz has recently resurfaced (YEAH!!!) and a week or so ago Pixel_Spark fixed me up with a nice, long (and more importantly, COMPLETE) Sombra story crack. I guess I shouldn't bitch about the missing ones when I have had some come through, yeah, life gets in the way - I get it. I've kept my stories going through the loss of a long-term temp job, many, MANY short term temp assignments and some heinous health issues of late, but not everyone has the insane drive I do to write even when real life tries to drag you away by the typing fingers.
I just hope some of these giants among Sombra tale tellers come back to us soon and the story glut continues (with good quality stuff, please!).
Nyx
Keep holding out, it's getting there for me.
I'm not dead, just had less time to write than I would have liked to have.
