I really can't say I have a problem with that, in fact, I'm kinda annoyed at how internet culture seem to reject any emotion that isn't aloof sarcasm as tough actually being enthusiastic about something gives you leprosy or something. 
Well, I think that's really just what happens when you distort and deliberately misrepresent any subculture, on one hand you'll get these really self-conscious fans trying to distance themselves fro ma stereotype that's mostly manufactured.... then you have the people who go the route of "so, you're gonna hate on me because of something you don't even understand? The feel that you need to be respected may arise with all its zealous-y, but all in all, the one who should care is you, not them.But I find it utterly ridiculous that people have this tendency to fervently try to justify themselves as if to prove that there is nothing wrong with them. Truth is, there really is nothing wrong with them (on most cases). But when what you do doesn't harm anyone and brings you pleasure, fuck whatever anyone else might think. We could try (as the person from the image tried) to take things to a physiological level, which won't work, because our physiology doesn't account for sexual attraction that much (there are no studies proving this fact true or false yet). We could try (as the person from the image also tried) to take things into a more philosophical level, which won't work for everyone, because each living being is a single, unique entity, making the whole point of justifying yourself, utterly useless and a waste of everyone's time.

As a former die-hard furry, i can relate to the 'im a proud furry' comment. Morons who treat their kink like it's a new religion are some of the biggest landmines that real fans have to navigate around when enjoying a fandom. The sad thing is that these jokers think they're doing their fandom a SERIOUS SERVICE by shouting their own twisted, personal views as loud as possible like carnival barkers. believe me, they're not. that's the reason i ignored anthropomorphic art online for years before MLP:FIM made me start paying attention again. I thank the vast majority of brony and pegasister artists, writers, musicians and animators for doing almost everything right and keeping the MLP:FIM fandom what it was always meant to be in the first place; sweet, happy and fun. everypony, keep up the good work, and keep on spreading the message of love and tolerance to the world. we all know the world could use a lot more of it out there.

But what you said is exactly what I meant, only seen towards one of the two possible extremes. While the ones who proclaim themselves to the four winds that they clop are fucking annoying, the ones who proclaim that they aren't/are against, also are pretty fucking annoying (bonus points due to moralfagness). I myself don't mind clop or people who clop at all. What ires me is the number of individuals who decide to make a big deal out of it (positively and negatively).
